Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists - Hoffman Estates

My vet referred us to Thrive for our cat Lola. She had a birth defect, her heart sac had a hole and her liver was inside it. They were very kind and delicate with us and her and they fixed it! We are so thankful to have our little girl home and recovering well! Thank you everyone that took such great care of our baby!

As someone who has seen and dealt with emergency vets a lot since getting my wonderful French bulldog, sushi, 5 years ago, I thought I knew what to expect when walking into Thrive. This place exceeded all preconceived notions on what an ER vet is and can be. Everyone was so nice and warm and helpful. As busy as they were, we were seen quickly and efficiently and the plan for treatment was in place within 30 min of being there. They were able to diagnose and treat my sushi baby and saved her life. I will be forever grateful and a customer for life. Thank you thrive!

I had the most amazing experience with my first visit to Thrive! I saw Dr. Cochran in the neurology department for my pup. I was so nervous for the appt and he was beyond wonderful. I walked out with no questions, I felt so much better about my girls situation, he put me at ease, he gave me options and explained everything so thoroughly. I would recommend Dr. Cochran to anyone that needs to bring their pet to see a neurologist! If I could give 10 stars I would!

I cannot express enough how wonderful this specialty hospital is. About a month ago, my dog Mila was transferred there overnight from another hospital because her condition was worsening. Upon arriving, the overnight doctor assessed her immediately, gave us clear and concise information regarding her diagnosis (ITP), available treatment options, and the prognosis. The treatment plan was expensive as my dog needed to stay overnight, however, I did not think twice because of the confidence I had in their staff. I am happy to report that my dog was successfully discharged (earlier than initially indicated) and is on the mend. We have had follow-up appointments since, and I take comfort in knowing my dog is getting the absolute best care. If your dog or cat is in need of emergency care, this is the place to go to.

I took a dog into the emergency room at Thrive for ongoing vomiting and possible foreign object. I was very pleased that they checked my dog immediately, then explained they had several critical patients and I would be seen after them. Communication was good throughout my visit. I felt my pet was being examined well and the treatments offered were reasonable. Emergency vets are always expensive and Thrive is no different in that regard, but I felt that my dog got treatment that she needed..

We brought in beloved pup Moose with a potential major medical emergency and we were besides ourselves with concern. The staff was so caring and helpful to take us through our options and next steps. The Doctors were upfront and factual with us. The techs and front of office employees were all so sweet and helpful in every way! They helped keep him calm and wagging his tail in a super stressful situation. The office is clean and welcoming - spotless base boards in a vet office is quite the feat! While it didn’t turn out to be as horrible as we thought, they gave us a clear plan for next steps to getting our Moosie boy back to feeling better. Thank you all for your help 💕🐾🐶

I visited Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists in Hoffman Estate Illinois with my cat Max. Dr. Jack MacKenzie took care of my cat. Very nice and friendly but mostly important very knowledgeable doctor. Max has hyperthyroidism. This was not our visit in the hospital. A year ago Max had pancreatic inflammatory, he was almost dying. Thanks to excellent doctors, technicians, front desk staff after 4 days in hospital he back home. I am very grateful to the staff. This is really the best place to take your cat or dog if they need help.
