Thrive Pet Healthcare - Catonsville

I recently used Thrive Pet Urgent Care for two cases for our nonprofit, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the level of care and professionalism provided. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, kind, and attentive, making sure both the animals and the people felt comfortable right away. The waiting area was clean, calming, and designed with pets in mind, which helped everyone at ease. The veterinary team was absolutely amazing! The doctor was not only highly skilled but also incredibly compassionate, taking the time to thoroughly explain what was going on with our kitties and the best course of action. They answered all of my questions with patience and made sure I felt confident in the treatment plan. It’s evident they truly care about the animals they treat. The facility is modern, clean, and well-equipped with the latest tools to provide excellent care for your pet. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick response time and how efficiently they handled our needs. If you’re looking for urgent care for your furry friend, I highly recommend Thrive. The combination of compassionate service, expert care, and a welcoming environment makes them stand out. I’m so grateful for the care they provided and will definitely return if any of my pets ever need urgent attention again!

If I could give a 0 I would. I have never been so full of regret and sorrow. I brought my cat here seeking help, and I left with nothing, not even my sweet ani. A little back story, I am a relatively new pet owner. I decided to move across the country to pursue my career and education in hopes of a better life. I decided I would get my first companion- my kitty, her name was Anakin. I live alone here and she was my roommate, my best friend. I came home from work on Sunday evening and noticed she wasn’t her usual self. She was wincing in pain, would hiss at us if I tried to pick her up, she had some twitching on her nose as well. I called my friends who had cats themselves and they told me it sounded like she got into something toxic. I ended up taking her to an urgent care because all other vets were booked and I was so scared that if I waited she might become terribly sick. I took her to this urgent care clinic, where after they took a brief exam they came to the conclusion of rabies. I was in tears and disbelief because she was an indoor cat with her vaccine updated and no wounds on her. I did inform them that a week prior she had managed to run outside but that was the extent of her being outdoors- she did not come in contact with any wildlife. I also mentioned that she nipped my boyfriend but I also tried to emphasize that she did that when we were trying to palpate her stomach to see if that’s where her pain was coming from . The Doctor told me the only option was Euthanasia, but after talking to people at the department of health I was supposed to be allowed a 10 day quarantine. Whenever I asked about quarantining her she told me that it was not an option. I cried and pleaded that maybe something else was wrong like poisoning or something. Again, the doctor told me that she was certain it was rabies, a very very rare disease. After obtaining her Health reports I saw they did no other tests to rule out my suspicions of toxins or trauma. I am deeply devastated and full of so much regret. I wish I would have never brought my baby here. I wish I would have been more informed. I wish I would have brought her to a vet that was competent. Today I received the phone call from the department of health that she tested negative for rabies. Also, they told me that her case was highly unlikely in general and after going over information with them, this urgent care clinic skewed a lot of the information they filed for a rabies report. Do not bring your pet here if you care about them. This feels like a nightmare. I cry almost every day. My place that was filled with her meows and chirps, has never felt more silent- it almost consumes me. My bed has never felt so big and empty- it makes it so hard to sleep at night. I got her when I started my life fresh, when I started my journey through nursing school. I graduate in two weeks, and I was so excited cause it felt like a journey we were both going through and now she isn’t here due to one person’s bad judgment. I just wish the doctor would have listened to my pleas. RIP my angel ani🩷

Our dog broke off an entire nail and we were seen immediately. The staff was super professional. We were there for a while and had to wait on certain things, but the staff kept us updated constantly. Our dog can be a pain at the vet and hates shots. They got him taken care of. And they also have checked on him after our visit.

They were so kind both to me and my cat, I took Wren in on Sunday morning and we were seen relatively quickly. Everyone I talked to sounded informed and invested in her care and equipped me with what I needed for the rest of her recovery!

The staff took amazing care of my pup during a late evening emergency visit. They were so friendly, caring and kept me informed while I waited. I truly felt like everyone cared for not only my dog but me as well as I was stressed. I would highly recommend them. And while I hope to not have any emergencies I would go back to Thrive if needed.
