The Village Vets Stone Mountain

This is the best Veterinary Practice I've ever been to. Everyone from Reception to the Vet techs to the Veterinarians are top notch. All of the Dr.'s are phenomenal but I'd like to specifically shout out Dr. Hurst. Her compassion and authenticity will carry you through the toughest times with your pet. She will try to provide the best treatment on whatever budget you may have with no judgement. You can tell that she respects pet owners that truly love their animals and she wants to help them both as much as she can. I can't praise her enough. If you are looking for a clinic that will not only treat your pet like family but you as well, Village Vets is the only choice.

Troika got a full grooming and a Lion cut today. Love her boots! Usually they leave a little pompom on the tail but I wanted to leave it all. She didn’t require any sedation at all. Not even restraint. She just layed down on the table like a Sphinx like she owned the place and was ready to get her hair did 🐈. Becky did a great job and was very informative. I’m glad they weren’t eager to put her under sedation unless she needed it. See the dark patches on her skin. That’s dermatitis from the hair pulling all the time. It gets so irritating that touching any connected hair causes them discomfort. That’s why they don’t like to be touched. The trick is to brush them regularly with a comb and a wire brush before they get matted. But once it’s matted you can only shave it off with a trimmer or take them in for grooming. Obviously the short hair will help everything. It was only $180 plus about that much for vaccines and testing.

Very friendly and treats my dog friendly. He loves to go for his grooming. He always looks great when his grooming is done and he smells great as well. I really like the staff who greets us as well as the others there.

The Vet was knowledgeable and she shared an extreme amount of information about my dog to include a treatment plan. This was the BEST vet visit that I have had in years. I have been taking my dog to the vet for years and they have given shots and pills without explaining the problem fully, this vet did. Thank you so much.
