This is not our normal vet however, when we noticed my cat was having so eye issues and our normal veterinarian was out of town we were recommended to go here. My cat is a very nervous kitten and doesn’t do well with some new people. But these people were great! He interacted amazingly with everyone and even allowed one staff member to pick him up, which is out of his normal. Everyone did amazing and my boy was better in just a day or so! If you are looking for a normal vet or just someone to help in the meantime I definitely would recommend them!

Dec 01, 2024 · Grace SmithWe took our pup there in a situation where are normal vet was closed. The entire staff was welcoming, friendly and very professional. Bella was not timid as she normally is and breezed thru the visit. Doc got down on her level and really focused on what we were telling her. A wonderful place and good overall experience for both owner and pup!
Dec 17, 2024 · Tim PerdueI very rarely feel compelled to write a review, but feel it's absolutely necessary after today's visit. Though it wasn't an emergency, I needed treatment for my cat asap. Upon reaching out, Kelly texted me very shortly after, letting me know they could see my cat the very same day. I was absolutely floored with the remarkable cleanliness of their establishment and the professional, courteous and compassionate demeanors of both Kelly and Dr. Rediger. I've been to countless vet appts over the decades and seen a dozen different vet clinics and animal hospitals. The Village Veterinarian in Chatham is hands down, far and away, the best experience I've ever had, and it's not even close. Dr. Rediger was easily the most competent, knowledgeable and skilled veterinarian I've ever encountered. They've gained a new life long customer who'll be recommending them to everyone I know!
Feb 05, 2025 · Scott O'SheaWe have had all our pets cared for and treated at The Village Vet. It is convenient in town and the staff is great. Though two of our favorite vets recently retired, we continue to receive great service. Our Grady was recently seen for an upper respiratory infection and was more than comfortable waiting for his medicine!😊🐱
Aug 31, 2022 · Kim BiggsI just got home from burying my cat, Patches, in the family pet cemetery. She was 15 years old and had developed cancer on her mouth. I took her to Dr. Rediger a few weeks ago. We discussed a plan for Patches to keep her comfortable and able to eat and drink for a while longer using steroids. That helped. Ultimately, though, Patches no longer wanted to eat and had not drank any water in three days. I made the decision over the weekend that it was time to let her go. This Monday morning, Dr. Rediger made time for me in between her scheduled appointments. I sat on the floor of the exam room with Patches snuggled next to me waiting for her. Dr. Rediger came in and sat down in the floor next to us to administer the two shots necessary to relieve Patches of the agony she was in. I so appreciate the compassion and sensitivity shown to me and Patches by Dr. Rediger and the very sweet receptionist who guided me to the exam room and discreetly took care of the paperwork. It made the heartbreaking circumstance go a little bit easier. Thank you.
