The Fix Project Introduce
Welcome to The Fix Project, a dedicated Pet Hospital located at 1749 Magnolia Ave, Long Beach, CA 90813, USA. As a vital resource within the local community, The Fix Project focuses primarily on providing accessible and affordable spay and neuter services for cats and dogs. Their mission is deeply rooted in addressing the critical issue of pet overpopulation by offering a cost-effective solution for these essential surgical procedures. While their primary focus is spay and neuter, they also provide a level of general veterinary care associated with these surgeries.
The environment at The Fix Project is described indirectly through customer experiences. One reviewer notes that the facility is often very busy, which is understandable given their commitment to offering lower-cost services and addressing a significant community need. While this busyness might occasionally lead to moments where the process doesn't feel as personalized or informative as some might prefer, it underscores the high demand for their services. Another reviewer highlights the clinic's strength in maintaining amazing communication with pet parents. This suggests an organized system for keeping owners informed from the moment their pet checks in, providing updates throughout the appointment, and continuing until the pet is ready for pickup. This proactive communication is crucial in alleviating the anxiety pet owners often experience when separated from their animals.
A key feature of The Fix Project is their commitment to clear and consistent communication. The detailed information provided prior to the appointment date helps pet owners understand the process and prepare accordingly. The friendliness and knowledge of the staff during check-in further reassure owners that their pets are in capable and caring hands. This emphasis on communication aims to build trust and confidence in the services provided, even amidst a busy environment.
The primary service offered by The Fix Project is affordable spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs. These routine procedures are essential for preventing unwanted litters, reducing the number of stray and homeless animals, and offering various health and behavioral benefits for individual pets. By focusing on high-volume spay and neuter, The Fix Project can offer these services at prices that are described as the most reasonable compared to other veterinary facilities in the Los Angeles/Long Beach area. This affordability makes responsible pet ownership more accessible to a wider range of pet owners in the community.
The positive experiences of pet owners whose animals have undergone spay/neuter surgery at The Fix Project speak to the quality of care provided, particularly in the context of these specific procedures. One reviewer noted that their cat healed fantastically after the surgery. Another shared that their dogs had even and relaxed temperaments upon pickup, which is a significant testament to the level of care, especially considering the recent surgical procedures and the dogs' typical separation anxiety. This indicates that the veterinary team at The Fix Project is skilled in performing these surgeries and providing appropriate post-operative care to ensure the comfort and well-being of the animals.
The fact that The Fix Project enables pets to be ready for licensing after their spay/neuter surgery is a practical benefit for pet owners. Licensing is often a legal requirement and contributes to the safety and traceability of pets within the community. By providing this foundational step towards responsible pet ownership, The Fix Project plays a broader role in animal welfare.
A significant feature that enhances the accessibility of The Fix Project's services is the option to use Care Credit. Care Credit is a healthcare credit card that can be used to finance veterinary care, allowing pet owners to manage the cost of procedures over time with manageable monthly payments. The availability of this financing option, described as "the cherry on top" by one reviewer, makes essential spay and neuter services even more attainable for pet owners who might otherwise face financial barriers.
While the reviews highlight the affordability and effectiveness of their spay/neuter services, as well as their communication efforts, there isn't extensive information provided about other potential veterinary services that The Fix Project might offer. It's common for spay/neuter clinics to also provide basic wellness services related to these surgeries, such as pre-surgical exams and post-operative care. However, the primary emphasis in the provided information is clearly on the spay and neuter procedures themselves.
Similarly, specific promotional information beyond the general affordability of their services and the acceptance of Care Credit is not included in the reviews. It's possible that The Fix Project might occasionally offer special promotions or discounts related to spay/neuter services, particularly during specific times of the year or in partnership with local animal welfare organizations. To inquire about any current promotions or special offers, local users are encouraged to contact The Fix Project directly at (562) 337-8268 or mobile phone at +1 562-337-8268.
In conclusion, The Fix Project in Long Beach, CA, serves as a crucial Pet Hospital providing affordable and effective spay and neuter services to address pet overpopulation. While operating in a busy environment to meet the high demand for their low-cost options, they prioritize clear communication with pet owners, ensuring they are informed and feel confident in the care their pets receive. The positive outcomes of the surgeries and the availability of Care Credit further enhance the value and accessibility of their services. For local pet owners seeking affordable spay and neuter procedures and a team dedicated to responsible pet ownership, The Fix Project is a vital resource in the Long Beach community.

Apr 04, 2025 路 Nicole AbboudThe Fix Project maintains amazing communication with pet parents from the time the pet check-ins, as updates are available throughout the appointment, and until the pet is picked up. This assisted in relieving some of the anxieties I have separating from my babies. With the detailed information provided prior to appointment date, the friendliness & knowledge of the staff while checking in, assured me my babies would be in qualified, caring veterinary specialists. My dogs had even and relaxed temperament when I picked them up, which is a testament to the high level of care received; especially since they had just been spay/neutered, as well as typically having separation anxiety. Thank you Fix Project. My dogs are now ready to be licensed, and will not be at risk of contributing to overpopulation. The prices were the most reasonable of all the places I looked into (absolutely everywhere in Los Angeles/Long Beach). The option to use Care Credit is the cherry on top of the whole experience.
Feb 11, 2025 路 Cassie Rae RobarI was so fortunate to find the Fix it project! I took my Little Jack Russell Terrier/ Chihuahua mix doggy for her spay, teeth cleaning, and duclaws removal. The staff was compassionate and professional from start to finish. I just had my Burmese and British Standard Black cats innoculated today. I absolutely loved my veterinarian! She was a cat lover herself and owns two as well! The prices are reasonable, the front desk staff ( Brianna) was a gem! I always buy a collar or harness or little outfit for my three fur babies every time I go because it's a donation to a pet charity with each purchase 馃檹馃従馃挅! Please take your fur babies there, they treat them like family and the animal doctors are professional, knowledgeable and welcoming!
Apr 05, 2024 路 Cyannah AmadeusDid the job in getting my cat fixed but I was baffled with some fees that came after I took her in. There was no mention of any fees on their site or about the deposit amount so this is why I was upset. Additionally when I was charged there were no specifics on what I was being charged. I was also told that I would be notified when I would be able to pick up my cat and instead I got a call 30min before closing asking when I'd show up so I was confused about why this happened. D ranking if you ask me and dont be surprised if you get billed more than what you were expecting.
Mar 21, 2025 路 Nancy MyzThe Vet and staff take good care of animals and keep pet parents informed through out the day of pets procedures and after care. I loved this place and would recommend to everyone in the pet community. Thank you for your service.
