The Cat Doctor

Love this whole staff! Everything was so different than a regular vet, it was quiet, I met the whole staff, they were so gentle and loving with my new kitten. They even gave her a snack to go and some toys! Perfect place to bring your cat. Way better than going to a chain like Banfield where the vet can’t even be bothered to come out and talk to you and takes your cat to the back to get a vaccine

I recommend the Cat Doctor to anyone who wants a safe, warm, and personable vet office who are going to care for your babies like they’re their own. I, and my two cats, truly look forward to coming every year for our annual check ups. Best staff ever! Thank you all for being so personable and sweet. Coziest and most welcoming office! (Special shoutout to them when I adopted a kitty and was feeling anxiety about introducing her to my resident cat! They were especially kind and compassionate, offering me advice and reassurance during the entire introduction process.) I’m grateful to have a vet that I trust. Again, they truly care for your babies! Highly recommend.

They have helped me and my girl Nomi so much in the past few weeks. I used to take my cats to a Vet that cared for both cats & dogs. I find a cat-focused Veterinarian has been the best to get to the bottom of all the issues cats face in their lives. I went to them for end of life senior care for my Ziggy boy as well. They really helped were so compassionate & gave me information that was invaluable for my boy and for that I'm eternally grateful. I feel the staff really cares & adores cats. What more could you ask for when it comes to wellbeing of your beloved fur friend.

I'm surprised I've never given The Cat Doctor a review before, but it didn't show up on my review history, so I'd like to correct that. Dr. Oeben is the greatest health partner a cat and a cat parent could ask for. She and her team have been lovingly caring for my best buds since I first moved to Houston almost 20 years ago. Her care and expertise gave me an extra three quality years with my Desi, kept me from subjecting my beloved Janice to unnecessary suffering after a stroke paralyzed her, and saved the life of my rescue baby Gilda who'd shown up at my doorstep a year after my previous beloveds had both passed. It speaks volumes to me that both Dr. Oeben and her clinic manager Elaine have known, remembered, and loved my kitties for nearly 20 years now. If you deeply love your cat - and you ought to - please bring your companion to these loving people for exceptional care. (Bonus: no dogs! Nothing against dogs, but my cats have always appreciated an environment free from them.)
