Welcome to The Cat Doctor of Nashua
Welcome to The Cat Doctor of Nashua, a unique pet hospital located at 24 Merrit Pkwy, Nashua, NH 03062, USA. Operating within the platform category of Pet Hospitals, The Cat Doctor of Nashua distinguishes itself by specializing exclusively in feline veterinary care, catering to the specific health needs of cats in Nashua, New Hampshire, and the surrounding areas. This specialized focus allows their team to develop deep expertise in feline medicine, behavior, and the unique challenges that cat owners may face. For local cat owners, The Cat Doctor of Nashua offers a dedicated environment and a team particularly attuned to the nuances of feline health.
Based on customer reviews, the environment at The Cat Doctor of Nashua is characterized by professionalism and a courteous support staff. One long-term client, who has entrusted the care of four cats to this hospital with positive outcomes, describes the service as "AAA." This suggests a high standard of care and a positive experience within the clinic. While specific details about the physical ambiance are not extensively provided, a hospital dedicated to cats would likely be designed to minimize stress for feline patients, potentially including separate waiting areas or handling techniques tailored to their comfort. The emphasis on a "courteous support staff" indicates a welcoming and helpful environment for cat owners as well.
The primary service offered at The Cat Doctor of Nashua is comprehensive feline veterinary care. The positive outcomes reported for the treatment of four cats suggest a broad range of medical services, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for various feline health issues. The mention of "treatment and support for my little ones" implies a caring and thorough approach to addressing the individual needs of each cat. While the specific services are not itemized, a specialized feline practice typically offers services such as routine wellness examinations, vaccinations tailored to feline risks, dental care, nutritional counseling, behavioral consultations, and the management of both acute and chronic illnesses common in cats.
A significant feature of The Cat Doctor of Nashua is the professionalism and expertise of their doctors. One reviewer specifically mentions the past contributions of "Dr. Bob," who is now retired, highlighting his great diagnostic skills in feline issues. This suggests a history of experienced and knowledgeable veterinarians at the practice. The current doctors are also described as "professional," indicating that this standard of expertise continues. The combination of skilled veterinarians and a supportive staff contributes to the high level of care reported by satisfied clients.
The specialized focus on cats is a key differentiator for this pet hospital. Understanding feline-specific diseases, behaviors, and needs allows The Cat Doctor of Nashua to provide tailored care that may not be available at general veterinary practices. This specialization can be particularly beneficial for cats with complex or unusual conditions, as well as for owners who prefer a veterinary team with in-depth knowledge of feline health.
However, one review provides a contrasting perspective on the administrative aspects of the clinic. While expressing love for the veterinary care received, the reviewer recounts a negative experience when trying to transfer their cats' records after moving away. The reviewer describes feeling rushed and uncertain about whether all the necessary records were being sent, leading to the need for a follow-up call. They also mention a previous instance of being hung up on by the first person they spoke with. This feedback suggests that while the veterinary care itself is highly regarded, there may be inconsistencies in the administrative and phone communication aspects of the practice. It is important for prospective clients to be aware of this potential for variability in their administrative interactions.

Nov 30, 2024 · Bill BrooksLoved bringing my cats here and unfortunately I moved away, so had to have their records transferred. It was very disorienting to have a vet I truly loved going to be in such a hurry to get me off the phone that I had no idea if they were sending the records for my second cat and had to call back - I hope they don't treat all callers this way. The first person I spoke with literally hung up on me. Otherwise they were great with my cats and I'd recommend them.
Dec 30, 2024 · Syd GJust brought my cat here for the first time for a checkup and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. My cat is super scared of everything and they went out of their way to be gentle with her and go nice and slow. Staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, caring, and knowledgeable with everything they did. Prices are very fair as well. All in all great experience and I will be bringing my cats here from now on.
Sep 18, 2024 · JoeI adore this place. We adopted or first companions this past year as a married couple. We’re not having (human) children so we are/have the ability to treat our fur babies with the best money has to offer. Yes, they are pricey, but you are getting what you pay for here. No crowded waiting rooms, fast appointments and everyone from reception to the vets are so kind and caring. We adopted our first, one year ago, and our second 6 months ago, and through check ups, vaccinations, a hurt and swollen paw, and neutering this staff has been amazing. They really care for the cats, and treat them like their own. My most recent visit was for the youngests spaying. I work nights and drop off for surgery days is 8am, so In my fog of only 2 hours sleep I misunderstood that I was to call them between 12-2 for pick up instructions. I thought they were calling me. I called at 2:30 when I woke up and they kinda giggled when I told them my mistake. I went and got my little one at 3 and when I arrived she had been out of surgery and awake for several hours. They had no problem keeping her and when I arrived they even had her out in the reception area giving her treats and snuggling/comforting her. It was very sweet. She was a big hit with the staff. I will pay every (slightly) over the top penny to have my best friends cared for here. I’d give 10 stars if I could! Loki and Sylvie love you guys!
Jul 03, 2022 · AllstarplayergkThe doctors here are really great and knowledgeable. They’re patient, understanding, and explain things to us. I’d have rated 5 stars em if they were all I had to consider. The front staff however is unreasonably rude. I’ve spoken to a few different ladies over the phone and each one has responded to me with hostility after just one question. In 3 different visits we’ve had 3 rude interactions. One woman basically shamed us for accidentally coming in a day earlier than our appointment. Another was very condescending when we tried asking if they have any kind of specific policy with helping us adopt a stray. They are very quick to be annoyed and act like they don’t want to talk with you. If you can get past them the office is nice, but I expect a certain level of professionalism from somewhere I’m a client with and this behavior is making me consider changing vets. 1 star front staff and receptionists, 5 stars to the veterinarians.
