The Behavior Clinic; Animal Behavior of Northeast Ohio, LLC Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of The Behavior Clinic; Animal Behavior of Northeast Ohio, LLC, a dedicated pet hospital located in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, USA. Operating under the platform category of "Pet Hospital," The Behavior Clinic specializes in addressing and treating a wide spectrum of behavioral issues in companion animals. Understanding that behavioral health is as crucial as physical health for your beloved pets, The Behavior Clinic offers a unique and comprehensive approach to diagnosing and managing conditions that can significantly impact their quality of life and their relationship with you.
Located at 9680 Columbia Rd, Olmsted Falls, OH 44138, The Behavior Clinic provides a specialized environment designed to cater to the unique needs of pets with behavioral challenges. While specific details about the clinic's physical environment are best obtained by contacting them directly, it is reasonable to infer that the space is designed to be calming and safe for animals that may already be experiencing anxiety or stress. A specialized pet hospital focused on behavior would likely feature consultation rooms conducive to detailed discussions between owners and veterinary behaviorists, and potentially areas for observing animal behavior in a controlled setting. The emphasis would be on minimizing triggers that could exacerbate anxiety or aggression, creating a comfortable and reassuring atmosphere for both pets and their owners.
The core services offered by The Behavior Clinic revolve around the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various animal behavior problems. These services are typically delivered by experienced and knowledgeable professionals, likely including board-certified veterinary behaviorists, trainers, and support staff who are specifically trained in understanding and addressing the complexities of animal behavior. Based on the positive reviews from real customers, the services appear to be highly personalized and tailored to the individual needs of each animal. One customer highlighted the clinic's ability to truly listen to concerns about their dog's anxiety, something they felt previous vets and trainers had not done. This suggests a thorough and empathetic approach to understanding the root causes of behavioral issues.
The range of behavioral issues addressed at The Behavior Clinic is likely extensive. This could include, but is not limited to:
- Anxiety Disorders: Including separation anxiety, fear-based aggression, generalized anxiety, and panic attacks. The clinic appears to have experience in managing even severe cases, as indicated by the review mentioning bringing "debilitating panic attacks and anxiety back under control."
- Aggression: Addressing various forms of aggression, such as territorial aggression, fear aggression, possessive aggression, and aggression towards other animals or people. The successful treatment of a "small terrier" who was "aggressive" highlights the clinic's expertise in this area.
- Obsessive-Compulsive Behaviors: Managing repetitive and seemingly purposeless behaviors that can significantly impact an animal's well-being. The review mentioning an "obsessive" dog suggests experience in this area.
- Phobias: Helping animals overcome intense fears of specific stimuli, such as thunderstorms, fireworks, or loud noises.
- House Soiling Issues: Addressing inappropriate urination or defecation that is behaviorally motivated, rather than solely medical.
- Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS): Managing age-related behavioral changes in senior pets.
- Training and Behavior Modification: Providing guidance and techniques to help owners implement strategies to modify unwanted behaviors. The mention of "wonderful trainers" indicates that training is an integral part of their approach.
A key feature of The Behavior Clinic seems to be its comprehensive and multi-pronged approach to treatment. This likely involves a combination of behavioral therapies, environmental management strategies, and, when necessary, psychotropic medications. The review that mentions "the right combination of medications" alongside work with trainers underscores the importance of a holistic treatment plan. This integrated approach, tailored to the individual animal's needs and the specific behavioral issue, appears to be a significant strength of the clinic.
Furthermore, the emphasis on owner involvement is a notable feature. The review explicitly states that the kind of help offered "requires a big commitment from the owner to work WITH the staff and Dr. Feltes." This highlights the collaborative nature of the treatment process, where the owner plays an active and crucial role in implementing the recommended strategies and ensuring the best possible outcome for their pet. The clinic's willingness to provide "continued guidance" suggests ongoing support for owners throughout the treatment journey.

For local users in Singapore, while The Behavior Clinic in Ohio is geographically distant, understanding their approach to animal behavior can be valuable. When seeking similar services locally, look for veterinary clinics or animal behavior specialists who emphasize:

May 09, 2025 · Sal Bro1These folks are knowledgeable, caring and ultimately helpful. They saved my small terrier. He was aggressive and obsessive but with a lot of work with their wonderful trainers and the right combination of medications he is now a calmer and much happier dog. This kind of help is never easy because it requires a big commitment from the owner to work WITH the staff and Dr. Feltes but if you are willing to put in the time and effort they worked miracles for us!
Dec 10, 2024 · Jane CampbellI would recommend the staff here to anyone who is struggling with their pets behavior. After seeing multiple trainers with my dog, I was growing hopeless with his dog reactivity. I wasn't sure it would ever improve. For the first time in a very long time, we're beginning to see progress. My dogs quality of life is notably improving, too. I do my best to stay educated on dog behavior, but I'm blown away by the knowledge and compassion of the staff. We genuinely enjoy our visits, and I feel prepared to keep training. Highly recommend!! Thank you TBC from Baci and the Palumbo family! EDIT: I posted my original review a year ago, and since then, my boy has continued to thrive and improve far beyond what I could have ever hoped for. If you're willing to put in the time and effort needed to make the changes for your pet, there's no place I'd higher recommend. My only regret is not bringing my dog here much sooner!
Sep 10, 2024 · SerafinoThe Behavior Clinic saved our home and realistically saved one of our cats from having to be put down. We have 6 indoor only cats and in the fall of 2023 two of our cats started peeing/spraying outside the box. We did several virtual sessions and one in home session as we worked through figuring out all the different dynamics and personalities of our household. Piece by piece we began to implement each recommendation from The Behavior Clinic. We utilized the skills they taught us and made slight modifications to our home. Within a few months we were back to everyone using the box, and more importantly, all of our cats are happier. We now have the skills to navigate their unique personalities and keep everyone in check. We can’t thank The Behavior Clinic enough!
Sep 20, 2024 · Amanda KephartEven my cat loved working with this team and he has never enjoyed going to a Vet appointment! If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is! The Behavior Clinic helped us so much. After being diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, my geriatric cat developed disastrous bathroom habits and was causing disruption and damage to my mental health and my home. I didn't know what else to do and reached out to The Behavior Clinic as a last resort after trying everything else the internet and my normal Vet had recommended. Not only did we resolve Squeaky's issues within a matter of weeks, the team was lovely to work with every step of the way.
