The Animedic Veterinary Hospital

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with this clinic. They are quick to answer my emails by phone when more detail is needed, or a reply to my email. I have always been able to get an appointment as quickly as possible, depending on the severity of the situation. They are always thorough, and gentle with my anxious dog, Grace, making the experience less stressful for her and me. This is an amazing clinic with wonderful veterinarians and staff.

I showed up five minutes early for my appointment. I waited over an hour and my pet was weighed, but never seen by the vet for her shots. Several people came in after me and their pets got seen while I just sat there and waited. No one updated me. Finally after an hour I had to go back to work so I said I had to leave. When I did, they said "There's one more pet in front of you" and it was a client who came in forty minutes after me. I don't like leaving negative reviews but I don't know another way to voice how frustrated I am by losing my entire morning for nothing.

Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for a follow up visit after an ER Hospitalization. The office clearly didn’t read any of the material sent by the ER Vet. The vet had no idea what the situation was and The office hadn’t made our appointment for the correct time so now we need to go back. They also couldn’t help us get his seizure medicine so we have to follow up on that too. Overall, just a horrible experience. We’ve been in four times over the last three months and no one knew who we were and no one had read his information.

Very happy to find a Veterinary Hospital that inspires confidence, especially when difficulties arise. I moved to the area and needed to feel comfortable and have trust in a vet office. I knew my previous vet for decades. The vets and staff at Animedic are dedicated, compassionate, animal lovers and are skilled with procedures and explanations. Bravo!

Needs work. No parking lot, disorganized, and inefficient service. Wissahickon and Rox Falls Vet were booked weeks out, so I tried The Animedic since they had availability. I assumed the lack of parking might be why, but turns out the service also needs work. The vet techs were great—it’s the vet and/or management that’s the issue. I made it clear before and during the appointment that my 18-year-old feral rescue cat needed all key diagnostics done at once because she’s difficult to bring in. Despite this, Dr. Harris insisted on doing only bloodwork, even though urinalysis is a standard test for senior cats. Other clinics do both at the same time. Blood results took a week since The Animedic lacks an in-house lab. That wasn’t an issue, but when Dr. Harris told me to bring my cat back in for urinalysis and blood pressure—which I had already requested—I felt like they just wanted another office fee, with no regard for my cat’s disposition. Granted, they offered an at-home urine collection kit, but that still meant two extra trips just to pick up and drop it off. Blood pressure can only be done in-clinic. The prescription kidney food script took a week instead of being issued same-day like other clinics. If all that wasn’t bad enough, when I looked at the blood test results, It was a basic panel that didn’t include phosphorus or calcium levels— which are key figures I needed for my cat’s CKD care. Bringing my cat to The Animedic was a detriment to my cat’s care. To sum up I don’t recommend this clinic for the following reasons: - Ignoring client instructions and cat’s needs. - Inconvenient and inefficient process. - Lack of consideration for cat and owner’s time. - Delays in providing necessary treatment. - Incomplete blood panel.
