My dog Elsa was seen by Dr. Wininger on February 19th. The entire staff from the front desk, assistants, and Dr. Wininger, himself, were all so kind and compassionate. When one is taking their dog to a neurologist, it is quite overwhelming and worrisome. Every person we met made me feel more at ease. Dr. Wininger is very thorough and presents all the options. He wants the very best treatment plan for your pet, as well as for the pet parent. He is an incredible vet specialist, and his staff is top notch!

Mar 01, 2025 · Jen SchulteIt was our first time at The Animal Neurology Center with our sweet girl Winnie and we are beyond impressed! The facility and front staff are so welcoming. Our girl Winnie is in great hands with Dr. Wininger. He personally sat down with my husband and I to thoroughly explain our dog’s diagnosis and where to go from here. We never felt rushed and all our questions were answered. I’m so glad we found The Animal Neurology Center for our girl.
Feb 13, 2025 · Casey PhillipsInitially I was very hesitant on getting my dog, Marley, surgery however Dr. Winiger and his staff explained everything throughly and made me feel very confident and comfortable with the decision to go through with the surgery. Marley is back to his normal self and we are so freaking grateful! Even the front desk and the night shift staff that watched Marley through out his stay were amazing and would give me updates whenever I called.
Feb 18, 2025 · bana ogbeWe had an amazing experience with ANC. Dr. Wininger and his team were willing to see our dog last minute on a Saturday evening of a holiday weekend. Their bedside manner for both dogs and humans was top notch especially since it was an emotional and scary situation. Dr. Wininger's operation went perfectly and our dog's recovery has been smooth and he has returned to his normal self! I'd also add that the facility is extremely comfortable and looks great! Highly recommend!
Jan 28, 2025 · Chris MoonOur 8 month old baby Yorkie Ozzy was diagnosed with AA Luxation a congenital defect where the 1st and 2nd vertebrae's in his neck were not completely formed. They were pinching his spinal cord and one wrong move of his neck could have paralyzed him or severed his spinal cord. Dr. Fred told us this surgery was the most difficult surgery he does. Ozzy only weighs 4 lbs and he had not done the surgery on a puppy this small before. Ozzy had started stumbling and falling and was deteriorating fast and we knew without the surgery he would probably not make it more than a few weeks. We first went to another Veterinarian hospital for a consultation but I was not impressed and did not feel comfortable with them doing the surgery. I had posted Ozzy on a Yorkie page and got a tremendous response and gained a lot of knowledge from people who had Yorkies with this problem and had the surgery. One of the people recommended Docor Fred because her daughter had done her residency with him and said he was the best and Ozzy would be fine. We met with Dr. Fred and was immediately impressed he was sharp, genuinely concerned and caring, and his facility and equipment was cutting edge. He did a 3D print (model) of Ozzy's scull and neck.and actually practiced the surgery twice using the 3D model before Ozzy's surgery. Ozzy's surgery was difficult and tedious, but Dr.Fred said it couldn't have went any better. He called me late that evening and Ozzyvwas moving all 4 legs. And 2 days later we picked him up and he could stand and walk better in just 2 days than before surgery. It was amazing and Ozzy continues to improve and is doing great in just a couple of weeks he is back to a playful happy puppy enjoying life. I believe Dr. Fred was Ozzy's only HOPE and if he had not been the doctor to do the surgery, I don't think Ozzy would be with us today. I am picky and hard to please but Doctor Fred and his staff were amazing and exceeded my expectations. The whole staff were friendly, caring, and so good to Ozzy! I highly recommend the Animal Neurology Center .... they don't disappoint!
