Friendly staff… from the front desk, to the vet assts, to the vets. I’ve felt they were all knowledgeable and caring. They treated all three of my kitties with TLC. Additionally I received great advice from the vet regarding integrating a rescue kitty with my other two kitties. It’s a work in progress, but we’re getting there. Thank you Tarpon Animal Hospital! I highly recommend their service.

I had previously used them for my chihuahua which everything was great so I trusted them .. I have a German shepherd puppy that I’m having some issues with I called and asked if there is someone who could just answer a few questions I was put on hold and told I need to make an appointment without knowing anything that’s going on . Not everyone has the time to make unnecessary appointments I called a different vet who took the two seconds to talk to me and reassured me everything is perfectly fine . Wish I was treated better made me feel as if they don’t actually care about my pet just wanted a quick buck and waste my time … sad to say I will not be returning.

I only chose this vet out of convenience of location. I would never trust them with another one of my pets. The rotation of staff here is insane. In a 3 month span, we saw about 6 different vets. Every visit we were given a different routine to try with our cat. Never once being told what was actually going on with her. The vet techs ALWAYS smell like cigarettes, especially one women in particular, which is very hard to handle when you're in a small room together. We paid thousands for them to just have to put her down anyways without an answer. The vet tech the day we had to put her down said we would receive in the mail, an ink paw print from her (which my husband was going to make into memorial art) and that we'd receive an address of essentially a "memorial site" for the animals. NEITHER of which we received, which only broke our hearts all over. This place is awful... the only good thing here was Karen at the front desk. Otherwise, trash. Everything about this place is trash, the prices, the vets, the vet techs, their method and their practices. Please avoid having your fur babies and yourself suffer the way we did by trusting this place.

Exceptional! While vacationing in Tarpon Springs our senior Boston terrier began having seizures overnight and they accepted us and provided an appointment right away. I was quite panicked after spending a night witnessing seizure. Dr. Sal Abate examined my baby! and assured me at the same time. He was exceptional in his care, patience and follow-up. I highly, highly recommend his expertise and communications are understandable, and he is patient explaining every detail in laymen's terms. Thank you, Dr. Sal Abate!!!!!

Dr. Abbate and staff, are the absolute best. I’ve been bringing my Dachsunds here for years and always have a good experience. Dr. Abbate is kind, patient and gives each family member his full attention. He has suggested we give our dogs their dog food as treats and not table food or other types of dog treats. We keep the dog food in a baggy and the pups think it’s a great treat. Brandy, Karen and all the staff are the best! I highly recommend Tarpon Animal Hospital!
