Dr Ivey and the staff at Hidden Oaks are amazing! They truly are a blessing to us to have found a vet we love so close to home! We recently boarded our babies there while we were on vacation, and it was a great experience! We got pictures almost everyday and it was such a comforting feeling seeing how happy they were there, and it truly made our day! They always call to follow up after a visit to see how they are doing, and always make us feel at home when we are there. The best experience we have had with a vet since moving here 4 years ago and can't see ever changing!

Customer reviews present contrasting experiences. Some pet owners express high satisfaction with the hospital's services, particularly highlighting the care provided by Dr. Ivey and the staff. These positive reviews emphasize the compassionate treatment of pets, especially during boarding. Customers appreciate the regular updates, including photos, they receive while their pets are boarded, which provides a sense of comfort and reassurance. They also value the follow-up calls after visits, indicating a commitment to ongoing care.
Conversely, other reviews express significant dissatisfaction with the hospital's customer service, particularly regarding phone communication. One customer reported a frustrating experience when attempting to schedule an emergency appointment for their sick pets. They felt that their concerns were dismissed due to the hospital's policy of not accepting new patients during the holiday season. The customer also expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of their initial phone call, citing excessive hold times and a perceived lack of urgency.
The positive reviews indicate that Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital provides excellent care and boarding services for pets, with a focus on communication and compassion. However, the negative reviews highlight potential issues with customer service and accessibility, particularly during busy periods. Potential clients should consider these varied experiences when evaluating this veterinary hospital.
In summary, while Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital is praised for its quality of care and boarding services, there are also concerns about its customer service and availability for new patients. It is advisable for pet owners to contact the hospital directly to discuss their specific needs and expectations.

Oct 09, 2023 · Jen EckardWell, I wish I could give them a zero or even half a star at least just for answering the phone. That’s probably why they’re only getting a one star. The first time I called I was put on hold. Couldn’t even respond that if this was an emergency or not five minutes later I hung up and I called again. The same lady answered the phone and said if it’s not an inconvenience to you, I’m going to put you on a hold I finally cut her off and said this is an inconvenience. I have a two year-old and a 15-year-old that are throwing up and have diarrhea. I told her that they will be first time customers as I am trying to look for a new Vet as I am not happy with mine. I stated that my sister recommended them to me and I wanted the best care for my little babies. I was told oh well this does sound like an emergency, but we are not taking new patients due to the holiday. Well as a Paramedic, I wish I could actually say that sometimes I’m sorry, but this does sound like an emergency but because I’ve never run on you before I can’t take care of you because of the holiday. I would never do that to a patient . completely unacceptable.
Jan 02, 2025 · Kristin BurnsWhen I moved to Tarpon Springs I was desperate for a Vet for my Golden Retriever, Layla. One of my neighbors recommended Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital. Dr Ivy is fabulous. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way for each animal that walks through the door. I would highly recommend them.

Mar 21, 2024 · MarshaIt is important to feel like your babies are under the best of care wether they be human or animal. Dr. Ivey and her staff take excellent care of my rescue dogs and are sensitive to my needs in caring for them as well. Sometimes I have to wait a little while to be seen but I know it is because they are treating an emergency with the same care I would hope for if my pet were had an emergent need. When this occurs they are considerate about preparing me so I can plan accordingly. I just LOVE them.
