Tampa Palms Animal Hospital

I brought my cat, who seemed unwell, to the clinic. Here's what happened: - The woman at the front desk was very friendly and had excellent customer service. - My appointment was 10:00AM. - They put me in the examining room at 9:50AM. - At 10:15AM I stuck my head out and asked a technician where the vet was. She said she'd check. - At about 10:25AM, the vet had still not shown up. I stuck my head out again and the technician said she forgot to check where the vet was. - At about 10:30AM the vet showed up and gave my kitty an exam. He recommended they do a blood test. He left the room. - Two technicians entered. They tried for several minutes to take blood from my cat. I even tried helping by holding my cat. They apparently didn't know what they were doing. I told them I've had vets in the past who had no trouble taking blood. I then asked if the vet could come in and take the blood. One of the techs responded that the vet didn't know how to take blood as he hadn't done it since he left vet school. - After 10 minutes of the techs fumbling around trying to take blood, I told them to stop. I took my cat and left. Also, before they did the blood test (correction, TRIED to do the blood test), I asked if they could trim my kitty's nails and give him a sanitary trim. They told me that it would cost approximately $27 to have both done. My last vet did it for free.

I recently adopted 2 kittens and have been very impressed with all of the Tampa Palms Animal Hospital staff and vets. Both my kittens have suffered minor ailments since coming home (gastritis + upper respiratory infection) and their care in treating them has been phenomenal. I would recommend anyone take their animal to this practice.

Extremely thorough and caring veterinarians. I feel like all of my concerns are addressed and they do all simple procedures right in front of you. They really care about your pets comfort.

I love this vet so much I travel out of the way now to take my girl there! The vets and techs are so kind and helpful. I have never felt safer taking my girl to the vet than I do here! You can tell they really love caring for animals, they’re the only vet I trust!❤️
