Noticed they have two pages for reviews wouldn’t want to forget one, so here’s what happened on Friday: Horrible service for a few years now and today was the final straw. Have been trying to get a prescription for my dog, who has Cushing disease, for a week now because we needed to change pharmacies. We called and asked the vets office about it last Friday and told them after finding the different pharmacy what we needed. FINALLY after a week it was ready today and I go in and the last name is wrong! I had a name change three years ago and have been repeatedly asking them to change the pets and my last name in the system and they never would. Also, they did have my recent last name spelled wrong because it was missing a letter so even then I wouldn’t have been able to use it. I asked them if they could change it today because the new pharmacy needs the last name to match. They said "No, the doctor is in surgery and will be leaving right when she's done." I said I understand that but I just need her to change the name to the correct one. The male receptionist then tells me "well you should have thought about that before then." His huge attitude and him not knowing what he was talking about I snapped. After cussing him out for how he spoke to me, I took my dog and left. I feel bad for the girl who was helping me and apologized to her while she repeatedly apologized for this man’s attitude. The service and wait time has been ridiculous here the last few years and they definitely need to update certain staff members who seem to hate their job. I will be finding a new veterinarian office. Hopefully they’ll be more respectful and won’t blame their clients for their incompetence. I like how they won’t accept responsibility for how their horrible receptionist was acting. Is that better “owner”? Have a great day! :-)

Welcome to Sunnymead Animal Hospital: Amaral Katherine DVM
Sunnymead Animal Hospital, with Dr. Katherine DVM Amaral at its helm, is a veterinary care provider situated at 24537 Sunnymead Boulevard, Moreno Valley, CA 92553, USA. For local pet owners in Moreno Valley, this establishment operates within the "Pet Hospital" category, offering a range of services designed to address the health and well-being of their beloved animals.
Based on the typical structure of a pet hospital, Sunnymead Animal Hospital would likely feature a reception area, examination rooms, a surgical suite, and possibly a kennel area for pets requiring overnight stays or observation. While specific details about the interior decor or specialized equipment are not readily available, a professional veterinary setting generally aims to be clean, organized, and equipped with the necessary tools for diagnostics, treatment, and minor surgical procedures. The waiting area would typically be designed to accommodate pets and their owners, often with separate spaces for dogs and cats to minimize stress. The overall environment is intended to be conducive to animal care, ensuring both comfort for the pets and peace of mind for their owners.
As a comprehensive pet hospital, Sunnymead Animal Hospital would traditionally offer a broad spectrum of veterinary services. These commonly include:
- Preventative Care: This is a cornerstone of good pet health and typically encompasses routine vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick prevention, and annual wellness exams. Regular check-ups are crucial for early detection of potential health issues.
- Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose illnesses, the hospital would likely provide various diagnostic tools. This could include in-house laboratory testing for blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams, as well as imaging services like X-rays to assess skeletal and internal organ health.
- Medical Treatment: For pets experiencing illness or injury, the hospital would offer medical consultations, prescription medications, and ongoing management of chronic conditions.
- Surgical Procedures: Common surgical services typically include routine spaying and neutering, as well as other soft tissue surgeries as needed.
- Dental Care: Pet dental health is vital, and services usually include dental cleanings, extractions, and advice on at-home dental hygiene.
- Nutritional Counseling: Vets often provide guidance on appropriate diets for pets based on their age, breed, and health status.
- Emergency Care: While not explicitly stated as a 24/7 emergency center, many animal hospitals offer some level of urgent care during their operational hours for immediate concerns.
The core feature of a pet hospital like Sunnymead Animal Hospital is its commitment to animal health. Dr. Katherine DVM Amaral's role indicates a professional approach to veterinary medicine. The hospital’s services are geared towards both proactive health management and responsive treatment of ailments. A key aspect of their operation, as with any veterinary practice, would be to build lasting relationships with pet owners, offering personalized care plans for each animal. While specific promotional offers from Sunnymead Animal Hospital are not provided, typical veterinary clinics often engage in promotions such as discounted first-time visits, seasonal vaccination drives, or dental care specials to encourage regular pet health maintenance. They might also offer loyalty programs or package deals for preventative care services.
However, it is important to consider the existing customer feedback to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community's perception. Online reviews suggest some significant concerns regarding customer service, communication, and efficiency. One customer reported a prolonged issue with updating their last name in the system for prescription purposes, leading to frustration and a perception of staff incompetence and unhelpfulness, particularly from a male receptionist. This individual also highlighted long wait times and a general decline in service quality over recent years, ultimately deciding to seek veterinary care elsewhere.
Another review echoes concerns about communication, specifically regarding delayed results for tests and a perceived lack of follow-up from the doctor. This customer also noted that while communication regarding medical updates was slow, the hospital was prompt in requesting payment, which led to a feeling that financial aspects were prioritized over animal care and professional communication. These reviews suggest areas where the hospital might need to focus on improving client relations, internal communication, and overall service delivery to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation within the Moreno Valley community.
In summary, Sunnymead Animal Hospital: Amaral Katherine DVM aims to provide essential veterinary services to the Moreno Valley area. Prospective clients may wish to consider the feedback from existing users when making their decision regarding pet care, as it offers insights into the operational aspects of the facility.

Jul 05, 2023 · jerry burnsThis has been our Vet for years for routine vaccinations and such and thankfully, we never really had an urgent matter until recently. Our dog is not well, have called several times for results of testing. Told the doctor will call back by the evening. It's been over 10 days and no communication. However if you accidently go to your vehicle after leaving your pet for treatment, they are running out to stop you and calling immediately for payment. So basically I see it's about the money and not the care of your animal and lacking in professionalism and the communication field.
Mar 04, 2024 · A LegsWe love the staff here! We began one of our pet journeys here 19 years ago and finished it for here in June of this year. The people were so incredibly kind as she & I had to say goodbye. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a fabulous facility for their fur children!
Jun 19, 2023 · Mik LawI try to use this hospital as my go to because it’s close to home. But what I find is if you try to get in the same day, they don’t have openings, but then they can’t even squeeze you in and then if there’s a no-show, it’s too bad they don’t can’t fit you in even with those situations to fill-in. i’m coming to the conclusion that as a pet owner you need several veterinarians that know your animals. Due to the fact, especially this this hospital I never ever can get in unless I make an appointment three days out. Fortunately, I’ve got a vet in Norco that will take my cat in , the same day because they are making a point to to fit him in. So I’m grateful for that.
