I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SUMMIT! I'm so happy to have found this amazing vet Dr. Newman for my dog. My elderly Papillon sadly passed away from breast cancer, but Dr. Newman was the one that found the mammary lump on her. Our old vet could not find out what was wrong with her but when I took her to Summit they discovered her mass right away and gave me a prompt estimate for surgery, course of action, etc. They even gave her pain meds which other vet refused to do (which made my dog feel so much better in her last days). Unfortunately, the cancer was rapid and my dog did not make it (long story short she had a seizure which damaged her brain and they also thought the cancer spread to her brain). I could not let her suffer. She was 14 and a half. RIP my beautiful girl! Now I have a new puppy who I've been taking to Summit, since I was so impressed with them. The prices here are reasonable for the exams and medications, especially for the expertise you are receiving! I feel like my pets are safe and well cared for since Dr. Newman was so thorough and gentle. She also gave us a lot of advice about our new puppy. The vet office is quiet, clean and they space out their appointments so your animals don't get stressed. The vet techs are gentle while handling my puppy too. Switch your pets to Summit in Eldersburg if you are looking for a detail orientated and kind vet. Thank you Dr. Newman and staff for all your hard work and care for my animals.

Nov 08, 2024 · Melissa HodgeTerrible service. My pets recorded documentation, was inaccurate and lacking vital information. In the last year my cat was in need of immediate care,. once for rectal prolapse and the other, for vomiting, with no food for 2 days. I called them on a Thursday. They couldn't see him, until Monday. For the rectal prolapse, they said they were already double booked. More than one occasion I spoke with Dr. Newman, concerning an issue my pet was having. She told me she never did an aspiration, on my cats nodule. I informed her, she definitely did. She insisted she hadn't, until I put my sister on the phone , who was present at the time. The size of the tumor was never documented. Another time, i was given 2 prescriptions.. When Chewy contacted Dr. Neuman, she said there was only 1 script. Thank goodness I photo copied them both. It is disappointing to say the least
Jan 29, 2025 · Dawn FergusonMy little pal had a medical emergency out of the blue. Dr. Neuman and staff were able to see her right away and gently and kindly helped us navigate through the emergency and an extremely difficult decision. It's been a week, and I am still so sad Piper is no longer here, but I am forever grateful for the amazing employees at Summit who gave my friend comfort when she needed it.
Jul 29, 2023 · AlyssaI'm so grateful to the wonderful, kind people who work here! Our bunny was attacked by a dog and there were no exotic vets in the Greater Baltimore area who could see her. (Believe me, I called them all!) My kids and I just desperately put the bunny in the car and went to the first vet practice we saw.... Summit Animal Hospital. To my knowledge they don't even see rabbits but they took us in without question. They relieved our bunny's pain so she could pass peacefully. In our panic we weren't even aware that we had come right at closing - they never rushed us and let us stay with our bunny until then end. I'm so grateful to them. Mr. Rogers said (I'm paraphrasing) when disaster strikes, look to the helpers. What happened to our bunny was horrible, but the sweet doctor and her staff were a shining light on an otherwise terrible day. I highly recommend them for your pets (our dog is a patient - luckily just routine visits so far) because I can truly say they have a heart for all creatures great and small! Thank you to all of the staff here who helped us!
Aug 16, 2024 · Rebecca CarrollWe’ve been seeing Dr. Neuman for years. She’s seen us through regular pet exams, x-rays, surgeries, and pet loss. I’m not sure how their prices compare with other vets (I pretty much hand over my credit card when I go in) but she and the staff and kind and compassionate pet people and that’s what really counts for me.
