We understand that bringing your horse to a veterinary facility can be a stressful experience, and we endeavor to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Our facilities are designed to accommodate horses of various sizes and needs, ensuring their safety and comfort during examinations and treatments.
Our core offering falls under the "Pet Hospital" category, with a specialization in equine veterinary services. This encompasses a wide spectrum of care, tailored to address the diverse health needs of horses. While specific service details would typically be found on our official website or through direct contact, based on the positive customer reviews, it is evident that compassionate care is a central tenet of our practice. One reviewer highlighted the compassionate support received during a difficult time, emphasizing the empathy shown by the entire staff. This suggests that Sullivan Equine Veterinary Service prioritizes not only the physical health of your horse but also the emotional well-being of their owners.
Another review specifically praised Dr. Thrift for her wonderful and gentle approach during a sensitive procedure. This indicates the presence of skilled and caring veterinarians on staff who take the time to explain procedures thoroughly and handle horses with the utmost care and respect. Such testimonials speak volumes about the dedication and professionalism of the veterinary team at Sullivan Equine Veterinary Service.

The sympathy card mentioned in one review further underscores the clinic's commitment to empathy and client support, going beyond just the medical treatment of the animal.

Mar 14, 2025 · William MankinsDr. Thrift was absolutely wonderful when I had to make the difficult decision to put my mare down. She explained everything and was very gentle. I'm very thankful for her compassion during that time.
Jul 24, 2024 · Maggie ReederDrs. Thrift and Sheppard have been excellent to my horses and donkeys for several years now. Dr. Thrift also did an excellent job disbudding a few goat kids for me and assisting with a few other goat issues. I've had several equine emergency calls with them and plenty of routine stuff, too. They're prompt, accessible and thorough. Dr. Thrift stayed involved when my mare had to go to NC State. She consulted with the vets there, received updates, and stayed in touch with me about the decision to ultimately let her go. I'll be forever grateful for her support during that difficult time. I highly recommend this practice.
Oct 18, 2023 · Erin WoodrumBest Equine vets ever! They really care about the animals like they are their own. For thankful for them.
Oct 18, 2024 · Kim MyersI have never been to this vet, however when my horse was in need of emergency care they did not hesitate to assist me. Unfortunately, my lovely girl passed away before they could make it out, but without knowing me or my Lady they sent me a beautiful card with their condolences. I have no doubt they are the most compassionate and caring people. I greatly appreciate the card.
