Dr. Nelson spayed my dog and she is absolutely AMAZING!!! I was nervous about having the procedure done but they took great care of my baby. Izumi recovered great and her incision looks beautiful. 10/10 recommend bringing your animals here.

I would have given this place 5 stars had it not been for the doctor. This guy was a true tool. I will never go back all because of this pretentious ponytail wearing non friendly hipster! My dog is like one of my kids and as far as I am concerned don’t you ever talk about my dog the way this jerk did. If your dog doesn’t look like a big bill coming in he will treat your dog like s&@t. I have never seen a vet get annoyed at a healthy dog. If you can stomach this waste of time Vet, the other ladies in the office make it worth it, I just can’t! Read what happened below. We were welcomed in by two wonderful ladies and taken into the back immediately. All of the staff was great from the first phone call to walking in the door. Our dog was taken back while we sat in a room and could hear their whole conversation through the wall. The doctor began talking poorly about my dog because of how much fur he had. That’s not your damn concern and his hair length doesn’t affect his health. This doctor was almost mad that there wasn’t anything wrong with my dog. My dog is also an active obstacle course Aussie doodle who is very friendly and energetic. When you lead him to jump up on something he is obedient and does it just like he would at the park of to get in my truck. This doctor and vet tech made it seem like his ability to jump was strange behavior. Do you all even work with animals? Like every dog is supposed to be sick that comes in? SMH. They handled my dog with such carelessness and hurt him. They seemed to have an issue with his ability to jump up on the table though they asked him to get up on the table to get a shot. Why would you think a 2 year old dog couldn’t jump onto a table and Would need to use a step. Because my dog was healthy he had nothing to report so gave unsolicited advice about the length of my dogs hair and made recommendations to me about getting a hair cut though we have a regular groomer. TBH I think that jerk didn’t like that we were black people. I WILL NEVER go back unless HE is not there! We heard all the nasty things you had to say about my dog and I would never put my dogs health in the hands of someone that CLEARLY hates animals or black people whichever one. If you don’t like to see all race people’s dogs get a new job!!!!!!

Sugarloaf Animal Hospital has been around since before I can remember, and I've always heard great things about this place. They've definitely treated my pets well. However, when I went with my sick cat they somehow had to chase him around the clinic for 10 minutes after accidentally letting him escape - something you don't expect to see at a vet. We also kept asking them how much this visit would cost before they did anything and they couldn't give a straight answer until they had already finished everything and racked up a huge bill for us. The front desk lady also didn't seem to happy to have us there and I'm not sure if it's discrimination or what but it was a bit uncomfortable being there and being treated like you should seek other accommodations.

Great place! Vets are so nice and treat the animals with care and concern. Office staff are awesome as well. They get to know you quickly. I had been to a fw other vets but now Sugarloaf is it.

We love EVERYONE at Sugarloaf Animal Hospital. They are all so kind and answer every single question I have no matter how silly I might feel asking. They are very knowledgeable and are always ready to offer any suggestions they think might help ease my mind and help me better take care of my pupper. We LOVE SAH!!!
