Dr. Aponte has a wealth of knowledge and experience and truly cares about your fur baby. They are not the least expensive vet around, but the amount of time that Dr. Aponte spends discussing various treatment plans and their respective costs and her willingness to spend as long as it takes for the parent to be clear about everything makes it well worth any extra expense. Also, they have their own in-house pharmacy, with prices similar to or better than Chewy, which makes it incredibly more convenient if your pet has Rx needs.

They came highly recommended to me, from someone who has used them for years. When I mentioned the person's name, the vet said 'I've known her for years and generations of her dogs.' The place is not fancy, but the attention to the dog was wonderful. I'm fostering a dog so wanted to a) help him at maximum level and b) keep it within budget since others are not pitching in. They worked with me on the best treatment for him with all vaccines, medicines, both preventive and actual treatment. He is a happy dog now and I hope his eventual forever home will continue to use this vet. Once I get a dog of my own again, I'll certainly use them (and even board there.). They gave him great care and love while I was there. The vet techs and the doctor were caring and very empathetic to the overall situation for this sweet dog and my particular situation as well. They also followed up the next day with a phone call to see how the dog reacted to the vaccine. That is wonderful, and a first that I've seen in terms of great care for the animal.

My family and I have the privileged of being patients of Dr. Aponte and the entire staff at Stone Mountain Animal Hospital. They are a breath of fresh air and always treat our fur babies with love and patience. Even our Chewy who had to be put to sleep. I highly recommend them. Dr. Aponte is a true professional but so down to earth. Ms. Sherrie, Natalie, Owen, Connie and I'm sure I've left one more out. They all are wonderful.
