Took my dog here and he wanted to remove something he thought was cancerous. It’s my animal and I love him. Told them I was getting a second opinion. Called back to get an appointment to go ahead and remove it and he refused because he felt I though he wasn’t confident enough in his skills which I never said. Those were his words, not to mention the thousands of dollars myself and my Dad have spent there. Arrogant and fragile ego who may need to retire. He also needs to grow up. Cheers!

Welcome to Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic

Welcome to Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic, located at 117 Wiley Ln, Makanda, IL 62958, USA. As a local Pet Hospital, Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic aims to serve the veterinary needs of the Makanda community. While specific details about the clinic's environment, services, and features are not readily available online, recent customer reviews offer some perspectives on the experiences of pet owners who have used their services.

Operating under the platform category of Pet Hospital, Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic would typically be expected to provide a range of veterinary services aimed at the health and well-being of pets. These often include routine check-ups, vaccinations, and care for sick or injured animals. However, the provided customer reviews raise some concerns regarding the clinic's responsiveness and professional conduct.

One reviewer shared an experience where they took their dog to Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic, and the veterinarian recommended removing something suspected to be cancerous. The pet owner decided to seek a second opinion, which is a common and reasonable course of action for any medical concern. According to the review, when the owner called back to schedule the removal after presumably considering the second opinion, the veterinarian allegedly refused. The reason given, according to the reviewer, was the veterinarian's perception that the owner doubted their skills, which the owner explicitly denies stating. The reviewer expressed disappointment, especially considering the amount of money they and their father had spent at the clinic. They described the veterinarian's behavior as "arrogant" and suggested a need for retirement and maturity.

Another review raised concerns about the clinic's responsiveness, stating that they were "Not responsive even during listed business hours." This lack of responsiveness can be a significant issue for pet owners trying to seek timely care or information about their animals. Furthermore, this reviewer reported being unable to obtain veterinary records for their animals after using the clinic's services and, as a result, stated they "would not recommend" Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic.

Given these reviews, it is challenging to objectively describe the environment, services, and features of Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic in a positive light based solely on this information. The feedback suggests potential issues with communication, responsiveness, and perhaps the professional interactions experienced by some clients.

Typically, a Pet Hospital should offer a welcoming and clean environment for animals and their owners. They should provide a range of services, which could include preventative care, diagnostics, treatment of illnesses and injuries, and potentially surgical and dental procedures. However, without positive descriptions from the provided reviews or further information, it is difficult to elaborate on these aspects for Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic.

Similarly, features that might typically characterize a well-regarded Pet Hospital, such as advanced medical equipment, a comfortable waiting area, or specialized services, cannot be confirmed or described based on the provided negative feedback.

There is no information available regarding any promotional offers from Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic in the provided text.

In conclusion, the available customer reviews for Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic in Makanda, IL, present significant concerns regarding responsiveness and professional conduct. One review details an alleged refusal of service based on a perceived lack of confidence in the veterinarian's skills, while the other reports a lack of responsiveness and difficulty in obtaining pet records. These experiences should be taken into consideration by local users seeking a Pet Hospital in the area. For further information about the clinic's services, environment, and policies, it would be advisable to contact them directly at (618) 549-1900 or +1 618-549-1900. However, based on the provided reviews, potential clients may want to proceed with caution and consider these experiences.

Not responsive even during listed business hours. Was not able to obtain veterinary records for our animals after using their services, would not recommend.

Great service for my ailing furry friend. Though he did not survive his illness I was very happy with the care he received. From making sure I was ok with the costs of treatment to check up on him with follow up calls. Will for sure be taking the rest of my past there in the future.

This is my dog, Chevy. Due to carelessness, he had to have his entire hind leg amputated. All because he had his paw wrapped too tight after having a NAIL removed. I hope you think of him every time your staff has to wrap the paw of another person's pet. Chevy didn't deserve to have this happen to him. It has been almost four years, and we are still upset about this.

They are the best. You have to work around their hours, but it's worth it.
