Our potbelly pig Poopsie is a very loved member of our family who unfortunately got pretty backed up and had a resulting prolapse. Steckelbergs answered our call on a Sunday night, and got us worked in first thing Monday morning even though we were not previous clients. Dr. Joel was great to work with, got her fixed up and even trimmed up her feet which was above and beyond! I called nearly 20 vets looking for somebody to see her. Will definitely be back and recommend them!!

Welcome to Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic

Welcome to the local introduction of Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic, a member of our Pet Hospital category, located at 18095 330th St, Conrad, IA 50621, USA. As a Pet Hospital, Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic is dedicated to providing veterinary medical services and potentially offering related products for the health of your animal companions. You can reach them at phone number (641) 366-2540 or mobile phone +1 641-366-2540.

Operating as a Pet Hospital, Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic appears to be a practice that, in certain circumstances, goes above and beyond for its patients, even new ones. While specific details about the clinic's environment are not provided, we can infer that it includes standard features of a veterinary hospital such as examination rooms, and likely surgical and diagnostic areas to cater to the medical needs of animals. The positive review highlights their willingness to accommodate a non-regular client with a potbelly pig experiencing a prolapse on a Sunday night, leading to a Monday morning appointment. This suggests a responsive approach to urgent cases.

The services offered at Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic, based on the customer reviews, include general veterinary care extending beyond typical companion animals like dogs and cats, as evidenced by their treatment of a potbelly pig. The successful treatment of the pig's prolapse by Dr. Joel, along with the extra service of trimming her feet, indicates a level of care and attention to detail that impressed the owner. This suggests that the clinic is equipped to handle a variety of animal health issues and that Dr. Joel is a capable and thorough veterinarian. However, a contrasting review from a new potential client seeking a Cytopoint injection for their puppy mentions a negative experience with the receptionist, who was perceived as rude and unhelpful regarding appointment scheduling, particularly for new patients without Facebook.

Several features of Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic can be identified from these reviews. One positive feature is their willingness to see new patients, even on short notice for urgent conditions, as demonstrated by the potbelly pig incident. The expertise and thoroughness of Dr. Joel are also notable, with the reviewer specifically praising his work and the extra care provided. However, a potential area for improvement, based on the second review, is the customer service provided by the front desk staff, particularly in handling inquiries from new clients. The reliance on Facebook for appointment booking, as mentioned by the receptionist, might also be a point of concern for individuals who do not use the platform.

The contrasting reviews provide a balanced, albeit mixed, picture that serves as objective information for potential local users. The positive experience with Dr. Joel and the clinic's responsiveness to an urgent case act as promotional elements, highlighting their medical capabilities and willingness to help. Conversely, the negative experience with the receptionist serves as a cautionary note regarding the initial point of contact and appointment booking procedures for new clients.

For local users in Conrad, IA, and the surrounding areas, Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic presents a mixed profile. On the one hand, they appear to have a skilled veterinarian in Dr. Joel who is capable of handling various animal health issues, including those outside the norm, and they have shown a willingness to accommodate new patients with urgent needs. On the other hand, there is a reported issue with the front desk's customer service, which potential new clients might want to be aware of.

To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic, local pet owners may want to contact them directly at (641) 366-2540 to inquire about their services, appointment procedures, and overall approach to patient care. Asking about their facilities and the range of animals they typically treat could also be beneficial. It would be prudent for new clients, especially those not on Facebook, to clarify the best way to schedule an appointment.

In conclusion, Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic in Conrad, IA, is a Pet Hospital that has received positive feedback regarding the expertise and care of Dr. Joel, particularly in handling an urgent and unusual case. However, a negative experience with the receptionist suggests that customer service at the front desk may be an area of concern for some new clients. Local users should weigh these perspectives when considering Steckelberg Veterinary Clinic for their pet care needs and may want to contact the clinic directly for more information.

I am new to Iowa, and I was in search of a new vet clinic for my puppy! I was referred to Steckelberg by many many people. My pup needed a Cytopoint injection, and pretty quickly. I underatand needing to make an appointment and scheduling, but the tone of the receptionist's voice was rude and not kind. I had called in to see if they had an opening for me to bring her in as a new patient. The lady who answered the phone was rude, and not at all helpful. She had informed me that I needed to make an appointment through Facebook. What if I don't have Facebook. She sounded annoyed and did not want to help me in any way. I would have LOVED to call this place my new vet but seeing how the front desk was, I will no longer be doing that.

My dog out of nowhere fell sick. They offered to keep her over the weekend before we found out it was too late and she needed to be put down. One of the hardest things my wife and I have ever had to do. They took care our baby and stayed late so we could say goodbye. We received a letter from them about a week later expressing their condolences. Thank you to all of the staff and Steckelberg. They made a very unfortunate situation a lot easier than it needed to be with the compassion they gave us. From the staff to the care they put in, down to their very fair pricing, this is the place you need to go to.

Thank you so much Kurt and Staff for helping with Ace after his mishap and assuring us everything would be ok and for all of you going above and beyond!

Because Kurt took over the business for his dad Arvin and he was awesome! They care, our dogs were always afraid at first to go inside but they got used to it they liked the làdies... And then when Erin came, well we just decided she just had a gift... it's always hardto put your animal when it comes time... I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!
