The fact that Dr. Zach's best recommendations were not necessarily the most expensive option speaks to the clinic's ethical practices and focus on providing the most appropriate care rather than simply maximizing costs. Experience and compassion for animals is important for a vet and Statesville is a 5 star vet who have just that.. I've been working with them for close to a decade and only have the best to say about this wonderful group of people who will go above board to help the animals in their charge. I have always felt informed and even when the hard choices had to be made, it was a blessing to have these great people in my corner. I highly recommend this vet.

My horse bolted his grain and was choking. I was absolutely petrified and called my local vet. They were busy and offered me no advice - I would define the receptionist as cold. I called Statesville Bovine and Equine and the receptionist was attentive, helpful, and very kind. If I lived closer I would absolutely used this vet based on the customer service alone. Thank you for helping me.

Dr. Blackwelder and his staff are so knowledgeable and hands down the authority when it comes to performance horses. The atmosphere is clean, efficient, and easy to navigate. You're made to feel welcome and your horse is clearly the priority.
