Star Veterinary Wellness and Urgent Care Center

When I first went to star vet I had rescued an 11 year old cat, patches, and wanted to utilize the free exam the humane society gave. At the time I lived about 40 mins south of star vet but they were the only ones with reasonable availability so I drove there thinking I probably would end up finding something closer to me later on. Nope! I kept coming back and was there many times within the 11 months I had my sweet patches because her health was not so great. Every time I went, I was met with compassion and care. I was given quotes and not pressured to do anything right away. But, was thoroughly informed why they needed to be done. Within 11 months despite treatments, patches health declined. This was to no fault of star vet, she had what I’m assuming, cancer in her ear which initially looked like chronic ear infections so we treated accordingly. Things went from ok to really bad, really fast. Dr. Stephanie suggested a CT for her but I couldn’t afford the service (star vet doesn’t do CTs but they’re anywhere from 3-4k). Her prognosis wasn’t good and palliative care was offered. Dr. Stephanie was compassionate when I wasn’t ready to put patches down and offered pain medicine to keep her comfy as I said my goodbyes. I went to a walk in to get a second opinion, not because I didn’t trust Dr. Stephanie, I just needed to hear it a second time for me to go through with letting her go. The walk in vet said the same things and offered the same advice. So nothing about Dr. Stephanie’s care should be questioned, I believe wholeheartedly that she goes the extra mile to diagnose appropriately, which can be hard since our four legged friends can’t talk! Dr. Dhillon was there to put patches down and he was patient and kind during our final moments. I can tell he truly cares about animals. Also, the office staff and techs are AMAZING they take their time to explain and help you sort things out when you have questions. Ruth (sorry if I got the name wrong) was especially wonderful when putting patches down. I was sent home with a warm hug and a rose. They also mailed a card giving their condolences. Truly so kind! My boyfriend brings his cat here now and I have brought my other cats here and we have had a great experience each time. I couldn’t recommend them enough. Pricing seems fair and quotes are happily given to given with zero pressure. I haven’t really cross referenced other vet costs because I am happy here so I will continue to bring all my babies. Also, they are open until 7 and on weekends! This is SO nice for someone who works m-f. I’ve never waited more than a week to get my pets in, they’re super convenient. Thank you, Star Vet!

I have been taking my dog to Star Vet for several years. They have convenient appointments for urgent care visits- including Sunday hours. Unfortunately, my dog has had a number of different issues that we have had to navigate, and Dr. Stephanie is always supportive, informative, and compassionate when managing these concerns. She gives me the peace of mind I need when illnesses and injuries arise. The ancillary staff is also excellent. I have recommend Star Vet to several friends, who now also take their four legged friends to Star Vet.

I took my dog in to be seen about a suspicious growth. The staff got us in quickly. While at the appointment my son called about an urgent situation with one of our cats. They let my son bring her in while I at the facility with my dog. They didn’t let my cat suffer. On top of it all we were brand new clients. Excellent customer service and friendly staff.

My dog receives great care from Dr. Dhillon at StarVet Franklin. The staff and vet techs are incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable and patient with my Welsh Corgi, Darby O'Gill. We all celebrated when he turned 16 yrs old! 🎉

Highly recommend seeing Carlee for any of your grooming needs. She took the time to listen to my concerns since my pet isn’t very cooperative and she was so understanding and kind to both of us. If you live in the area, I couldn’t recommend her enough
