Welcome to Southern Agriculture Inc: Jones Dan DVM

For pet owners in Tulsa, Oklahoma, seeking a multifaceted establishment that combines veterinary care with a wide array of pet supplies, **Southern Agriculture Inc: Jones Dan DVM** presents a distinctive option. Located at **6501 E 71st St, Tulsa, OK 74133, USA**, this facility serves as more than just a traditional "Pet Hospital." You can reach them by phone at **(918) 488-1993** or via mobile at **+1 918-488-1993** for inquiries related to their veterinary services or retail offerings.

The name "Southern Agriculture Inc: Jones Dan DVM" suggests a dual nature to this business. While "Jones Dan DVM" clearly points to the presence of a veterinarian, Dr. Dan Jones, indicating "Pet Hospital" services, "Southern Agriculture Inc" suggests a broader retail operation catering to agricultural and pet-related needs. This integration provides a convenient one-stop shop for many pet owners, allowing them to access veterinary services and purchase pet food and supplies in the same location.

The **environment** at Southern Agriculture Inc: Jones Dan DVM, as described by a customer, is a "clean building." While this review also mentions that "the workers can not see you" (which could imply a lack of immediate staff visibility or assistance on the retail side), the overall impression regarding the veterinary services, as part of a place where people "will be back," suggests a functional and acceptable setting. The presence of a "doggie bath station" further adds to the facility's practical amenities, indicating a space that caters to various pet care needs beyond strictly medical ones. The integration of a retail space means the environment is likely laid out to display pet food, accessories, and other products, creating a more comprehensive pet-centric hub rather than a sterile medical clinic alone. The longer operating hours, including evenings and Saturdays, also contribute to an accessible and convenient environment for busy pet owners.

The **services** provided by Southern Agriculture Inc: Jones Dan DVM go beyond the standard offerings of a conventional "Pet Hospital." Their veterinary services appear to be centered around a **low-cost vaccination clinic**, making essential preventative care more accessible. This is a significant feature, especially for pet owners looking to manage their budget without compromising on core health needs. Their website confirms that state-licensed veterinarians administer high-quality vaccines and microchips with "no appointment and no office fees" during specific clinic hours. This walk-in model for vaccinations is highly convenient. The clinic offers a range of vaccinations for dogs (e.g., Rabies, DHLPP+CVK, DHPP+CVK, Lepto, Kennel Cough, Lyme Disease, Canine Influenza) and cats (e.g., Rabies, RDCP, Feline Leukemia, Feline Bordetella). Beyond vaccinations, they also perform common diagnostic tests such as:

  • Canine Blood Check for Heartworms
  • Stool Check for Intestinal Worms
  • Diarrhea Screen (including Giardia Test)
  • Feline Leukemia - Feline Aids (FIV) & Heartworm Test

For more specific veterinary needs, they also offer services by appointment, including examinations, nail trims, anal gland expressions, and skin scrapings and exams. Furthermore, they perform basic surgical procedures like neutering male cats and spaying female cats, along with dewclaw removal and tail docking on puppies, indicating a focus on essential and accessible veterinary interventions. Beyond medical services, the "doggie bath station" is a noteworthy service, offering self-service bathing for pets starting at $10, with towels available (and likely shampoo and conditioner, as confirmed by their website which states they "supply shampoo, conditioner, towels, and a blow-dryer"). As part of Southern Agriculture Inc, they also offer a vast selection of pet food and other pet supplies, serving as a retail outlet for everyday pet needs.

The distinguishing **features** of Southern Agriculture Inc: Jones Dan DVM are its affordability, convenience, and dual function as a retail store. The "low-cost vaccination clinic" is a major draw, providing a cost-effective solution for preventative care. The "no appointment and no office fees" policy for these clinics makes veterinary care highly accessible, catering to owners who might find traditional appointment systems restrictive or expensive. The "doggie bath station" is another unique and practical feature, offering a self-service solution for pet grooming that adds value beyond medical care. The positive review highlighting "The buy 12 get one free saves the day!!!!" points to a strong loyalty program for pet food, which is a significant financial benefit for regular customers and encourages repeat business. This "buy 12 get 1 free" program is common for pet food brands and is often managed by pet supply stores. While one review mentions that prices might be "a bit high" on some items, the overall value proposition, especially for veterinary services like vaccinations and pet food savings, seems to outweigh this for many customers. The presence of knowledgeable workers in the store, as mentioned in another online review, who "knew the place like the back of their hand" suggests a staff that is helpful for navigating the retail side of the business.

From a **promotional information** perspective, Southern Agriculture Inc: Jones Dan DVM leverages its unique blend of services. The emphasis on "low-cost vaccination clinic" serves as a primary promotional message, drawing in clients looking for affordable essential care. The "buy 12 get one free" offer on pet food is a strong incentive for consistent purchases and builds customer loyalty, effectively promoting their retail arm. The convenient location and extended hours (Monday-Saturday 8 AM - 8 PM, Sunday 10 AM - 6 PM) also act as promotional points, appealing to busy pet owners. Their website clearly outlines the schedule for their weekly vaccination clinics at various locations, including the 71st & Sheridan store, making it easy for customers to plan their visits. The presence of the "doggie bath station" is a practical amenity that can attract customers looking for a convenient bathing solution without the mess at home. While the negative feedback about staff visibility on the retail side should be considered for internal improvement, the overall positive sentiment and return customer intent ("idc I will be back") suggest that the value proposition of Southern Agriculture Inc: Jones Dan DVM, particularly its veterinary services and pet supply offerings, resonates strongly with local pet owners in Tulsa.

This location is awesome. One of my favorites. They have everything and are never out of stock for my needs. Which is awesome. They have live food for our animals and I appreciate that they do.

I appreciate Southern Ag so much for them being willing to stock just about every pet supply that I could possibly want or think of. They carry the top choices in dog and cat food and a lot of other pet specialty products. It’s never too crowded, but always busy and they are open 7 days a week which makes it very convenient for those of us who work during the week. Checkout is amazingly quick because there are always plenty of employees and they will open a new register if there’s more than 2 or 3 people in a line. Thank you Southern Ag for making my last 4 years of pet ownership so much easier. It’s been a pleasure doing business with you! Note: I always shop the Southern Ag at 71st because of all the above reasons. Not all stores are the same.
