My family and I had an unfortunate accident while out of town and our 15 week old frenchie broke her elbow. The vet and staff were super supportive and friendly. The Dr. told me he would advise if there were any complications or concerns during the surgery to repair it. He reached out to me in the middle of surgery explaining some complications and issues. Unfortunately our dogs elbow was shattered and she would develop arthritis rather quickly and more then likely need amputation within a couple of years. He advised with her being so young and full of energy she wouldn’t miss a beat on 3 legs so we proceeded with everything and now have a happy healthy tripod! Would definitely use again!

- "This place is awesome!!! The staff is very courteous and friendly. They took the time to explain everything for the procedure, recovery, what to expect. Answered all of our questions, both when we were there and when the 'worried parent' called on the phone. The building is very clean and well maintained. Peanut says thank you very much for fixing her knee, and she highly recommends Southeastern Veterinary Surgery Center!!!"

Nov 01, 2024 · nicholas emerichI've been a loyal client of this practice for years and was one of their first 200 patients (at least that is what the receptionist told me). As someone who runs an animal rescue, I've always appreciated their care. However, something has drastically changed since my last visit. Read the reply from the vet below- I think their angry and accusatory tone speaks for itself. I was helping a dog from Hurricane Helene. For this visit, I had several issues with scheduling that made it difficult. We struggled with the online forms- when I'd call their office, one person said many were having difficulty going through and to email instead, which I did. When I called the next day to check, the receptionist said there was no problems and only my referral wasn’t in. Each time I would call to try and figure it out, the receptionist that would answer would say my name in a condescending tone (they must have caller ID) like she was over dealing with me. I was just trying to follow instructions. After that, I tried to set up a consultation with someone that was already clearly annoyed with me when I was just trying to follow their process. This clearly spilled over into the appointment and how that was handled. Despite coming from Atlanta, they wouldn’t provide a window to meet with a doctor, insisting that the dog stay for a full day. Considering a consult is usually a 30 minute appt, I was surprised that this was the only option. I wasn't given an alternate specific date or time regardless of date- that would have been awesome. So, I booked a hotel to make sure I was there in the AM & to follow their rules. I also boarded my personal dogs back home. I arrived in the early AM as requested and dropped off the dog- I went in at 1 to use their restroom, and went back to my car. I didn't ask about my dog at that time- I was careful not to with the tension from them that was already there. I went in around 4 & said I had to get home- I had to pick my dogs up from daycare 2-3 hrs away. I said if my dog wasn't ready, that I understood, but I had to get home. When they returned my dog, they were smug and looked almost excited that they were giving her back. It felt like my dog was pushed back in the day out of spite and anger. They claimed I was rude- while I was frustrated, I never raised my voice and stayed calm. I've had multiple dogs there and have never been accused of being rude with any of the previous cases. Even in their response to this review, they don't consider a "long-term client" someone with a minimum of 4 dogs that had specialty surgeries. Imagine if you are a one-time client and how you are viewed and treated. His wife came out when I was at the desk and said "if you want to come here, you do it the way we say". It was such a bold statement that I was taken aback. There's so many ways to say the same thing in a polite way- they just wanted me to know where I stood. The receptionist that had been condescending on the phone was shaking her head in agreement. At that point, I realized this was a culture situation at the office. Maybe the receptionist ( who was new since the last time I was there) went and said negative things about me to the owners. Maybe not. But that is why an owner usually comes and figures out what is going on for themselves and doesn’t go after a stranger like she did. All of this made me wonder how they would handle a more serious situation, like post-surgery complications. Would I receive the same level of disdain in a critical moment? This experience has raised real concerns about the care and service here. When I sat in my car and thought about getting my dog, I thought carefully before doing so. I knew that meant the end of the relationship with this vet. But at the end of the day, I need to feel confident in such a major decision for my pet. I will stick with Auburn for these going forward. Auburn really spends time and doesn’t make you feel like a burden.
Oct 07, 2024 · Ariane McClureDr. Jean was FABULOUS! Personable, thorough and professional! Direct but not heavy handed. Great staff too. Clean, beautiful, new facility. I HIGHLY recommend them. Worth the drive.
Jan 09, 2025 · Dean DemosMy 4 yo female boxer had Trochleoplasty, Lateral Joint Imbrication and Plateau Osteotomy. I'm SO glad we made the 2 hour trip there for consultation, surgery, 4 week check up and 8 week check. This team is the best. Very, very nice. Answered any questions I had post surgery, Dr Waguespack was very attentive towards Daisy. Answered all questions we had about pre surgery, post and after care. I will go back to this vet if needed.
