My husband and I have been bringing our boys here for years. What once was 3 dogs is down to one. My husband informed them that our 10 1/2 year old recently passed and days later we received a hand signed card in the mail. The people here are caring and truly want your fur baby to be happy and healthy. We definitely recommend this vet for all your pet needs. Our almost 8 year old is in great hands with the staff of Southeast Animal Hospital.

Dr. Homer is the best vet I've ever had. He is a talented surgeon, and his staff are friendly, efficient and helpful.

Please do NOT take your fur babies to this clinic!! I took my dog Sophie for a mass removal on August 12th and since then it has been a series of unfortunate events. She was only prescribed Tramadol and an anti-inflammation medication, no antibiotics were prescribed to avoid infection, and I was not advised that she needed a follow up appointment for her removal of the stitches. After her discharge, she began acting weird and in pain. The following day large amounts of blood began spilling from the wound. I brought her back in to be assessed and the on call doctor stated that the blood had not been drained and it could develop a hematoma. He proceeds to squeeze this large mass of blood with no gloves right on the floor. Then decides the best course of action is to staple her wound with no sedation and lying on the floor. She was still complaining and still discharging large amounts of blood from her wound. I called the clinic back and they said there was nothing they could do since Dr. Homer would not be available till August 29th. I decided to take my dog to an emergency animal hospital since I could no longer see her in that condition. They informed me that her leg had not been drained properly (which led to her having a large sac of blood hanging), the stitches were extremely loose, her staples were sticking out and not placed properly, and since no antibiotics were prescribed that it was leading to an infection. An emergency surgery had to be performed 3 days after her original surgery to correct all the problems SE animal hospital had created. Since then I’ve been trying to leave messages and find out the status of her pathology results since I paid an additional $200-400 for those results. Ximena and Janissa have been giving me the run around and keep stating that Dr. Homer would return on August 29th and he would call back to discuss the results and discuss the surgery. I still have not received a call back from this clinic and have been consistently hitting walls. Extremely disappointed with how this clinic has been handling my dogs case. I’ll be leaving a complaint in the Better Business Bureau. The financial/emotional damage that this clinic has placed us through has been horrendous.

Brought our puppy in with a broken/fractured arm. You would think with the word “Hospital” in the name that they would take her. No apparently on Wednesdays they can’t take new patients. Even if they’re arm is broken. Never coming here again. How do you turn down a puppy with a serious injury. We were willing to pay. Do better. She was taken care of elsewhere. Missed out on an easy $2k cause of your front desk.
