The core services offered at Sound Animal Rehabilitation and Fitness center around rehabilitation therapies and fitness programs designed to address a variety of needs. A key area of expertise appears to be post-surgical rehabilitation, particularly following orthopedic surgeries such as Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) for cranial cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in dogs. The testimonials highlight the clinic's role in helping pets like Stella return to normal function after undergoing two TPLO surgeries. This indicates a strong understanding of the specific rehabilitation requirements for such procedures and the ability to guide pets through a successful recovery process.

This commitment to prioritizing the animal's well-being and adjusting the treatment plan based on their individual response is a hallmark of quality rehabilitation care. It assures pet owners that their animal's comfort and progress are paramount.

The fact that Dr. McKnight takes the time to thoroughly learn about each pet's specific situation, including their surgical history and current condition, before developing a rehabilitation plan is a crucial aspect of their service. This detailed initial assessment ensures that the therapy is targeted and appropriate for the individual animal's needs. The emphasis on the pet "determining how fast we go" further illustrates a gentle and responsive approach to rehabilitation, avoiding pushing the animal beyond their comfort level and ensuring a more positive and effective recovery.

Had an incredible first visit with Sound Rehab - Dr. McKnight took an incredible amount of time and care to learn about our English Bulldog after his ACL surgery. She then discussed his rehab plan and said Buxley would determine how fast we go and his comfort was our top priority. Looking forward to starting his plan next week!!

Sound is an amazing place. Dr McKnight really cares about my pups health and wellbeing. She gave me a thorough evaluation and really sympathizes with what we are going through. We are really lucky to have a rehab place with the treatment they are able to provide in Birmingham!

Sounds has been an absolute blessing to our family. My 16 year old 50lbs pup has been working with Dr. McKnight for a year and a half and has seen so many benefits. Her quality of life has been greatly improved thanks to the Sound team. They are attentive to changes in her mobility and make sure she is comfortable and motivate her with the best treats around. I owe them so much for helping my best friend live comfortably in her old age. She is always happy to see her buddies for treatment.

Dr. McKnight and the entire team are amazing! Our dog is 11 years old and had a CCL repair. She also had an old injury as a 5 week old puppy of her spine being broken. So this knee surgery was risky. She didn’t bounce back as quickly as we hoped so we came to Sound Animal Rehabilitation. So impressed! She did water therapy and laser therapy. She is totally back to normal. We are so thankful and would highly recommend them. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars.
