SOUL Is such a magical place that has such a positive impact on the community. Jodie and all of the volunteers work so hard to maintain the facility and take such amazing care of the animals bringing so much joy to everyone they encounter. We absolutely love that this organization exists! Who wouldn’t smile when being greeted by a soft nuzzle from a miniature therapy horse, or giggle when a miniature donkey brays! Or even the amazement that a therapy cat is even a thing! Being on the property can bring such peace to your SOUL - all of life’s troubles can absolutely melt away. But the best part of this organization is the heart and SOUL - Jodie - whose infectious smile and extraordinary vision has made thousands of human-animal connections possible in the Barrington area and beyond!

Having been a volunteer at SOUL Harbour Ranch (SHR) for over a year now, it’s hard for me to overstate what a wonderful place it is. I have become a Pet Partners handler with mini horse Unique and my dog, Betty. It’s not just the joy that SHR spreads in healthcare settings, schools, community events, etc., it’s the joy I feel being a part of this wonderful organization. Additionally, my 92-year old father participates in the monthly SHR veteran’s gathering. It is a highlight of every month for him.

My dog, Banjo, and I are so appreciative to be a part of SOUL's Animal Therapy training program. Jodi and trainer, LuAnne, are truly invested in our success and offer flexibility as we prepare for our therapy dog evaluation. We're so excited to eventually join SOUL in their therapy animal visits across the Northwest 'burbs.
