Above and beyond with my furr child. Highly recommend. Since I relocated to Irvine I have had to take Mr. Mingus (my cat) to the vet three times. The first time was to an emergency vet hospital and while the team there was great, the cost certainly was not. The second trip was for an annual to Banfield and while the cost was much less so was the service. The receptionist was less than friendly and complained about Mingus yawling (like most cats he’s not thrilled to be stuck in a carrier and dragged to the vet). I received his results but only spoke to the vet very briefly. I found SORA looking for an alternative and saw only positive reviews so I scheduled with Yuko who was incredibly friendly over the phone. They had a variety of openings including on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and upon our arrival immediately saw to Mingus. Dr. Doi took nearly 20 minutes to explain everything to me prior to the treatment and then took additional time afterward and was warm and friendly in explaining complex veterinary concepts. I was provided results both in person and by email and Dr. Doi took the time to explain each in addition to emailing me personally after the visit to answer any questions or concerns. Maybe my experience is limited with Vet hospitals but I will say this level of attention and care seems to be few and far between in any area of business so to experience it was inspiring. That said while I would be willing to pay nearly whatever for my best friend Mingus’ health, to not have to pay exorbitant rates and receive great service made me a write this review and also made me a returning customer. If you made it this far and you’re in Irvine I would absolutely give them a call.

I took my cat here becuz she was having trouble breathing. I was relieved to find out that she has flea asthma and not something more serious. The vet was very helpful and informative. It was also very reasonably priced, and I didn't feel pressured into paying for extra tests. I'll definitely be taking my pets here again in the future.

I don’t usually write reviews unless it’s had a pretty big impact on me. With that, here we are. In the last 10 years I’ve been to many different vet clinics and I’m happy to announce I’ve found my forever vet. The clinic itself is very clean and well kept, the girl at the front desk is super friendly and goes the extra step to help out with anything. My dog isn’t the friendliest but it’s clear she’s taken a liking to them so that speaks for itself. Dealing with Dr. Doi honestly seems more like talking to an old friend than going to a vet visit. He takes all the anxiety out of the dog, as well as myself. He’s SUPER friendly and never puts any pressure to run tests when they aren’t needed. Other vets like VCA are constantly trying to push the most random things on us and customer service at VCA has always been pretty bad. I will be taking my other dog here as well once his shots are due. The helpful friendly staff at Dora Animal Hospital will continue to have my business for years to come! Thank you!

Dr. Doi really cares about my dog and pays attention to details when examining her. Their service is professional.

The best experience we've had at a vet. All of the staff are very attentive, informative, and transparent! We felt extremely comfortable bringing Yuzu here and could not recommend it enough.
