My friend has a dog that's slowly passing and he wanted to bring her in well he can't till 3 days from now. Absolutely disgusting to allow a pet to suffer when you can help then go in peace. Vets are not what they should be it's sad.

Welcome to Sodus Veterinary Hospital

Welcome to the introduction of Sodus Veterinary Hospital, located at 5920 NY 104, Williamson, NY 14589, USA. Serving the Williamson community and surrounding areas, Sodus Veterinary Hospital aims to provide veterinary care for your animal companions. As a local pet hospital, they offer a range of services to address the health and well-being of pets. However, the limited information available online, consisting of just two contrasting customer reviews, provides a partial and potentially incomplete picture of the hospital's environment, services, and overall approach to patient care.

Details regarding the specific environment of Sodus Veterinary Hospital, such as the layout of examination rooms, waiting areas, surgical suites, or other facilities, are not provided in the available reviews. Therefore, it is difficult to objectively describe the physical setting where care is administered. To gain insight into the clinic's environment, local users may need to contact the hospital directly or visit their premises if possible. Observing the cleanliness, comfort, and organization of the facilities can often provide a sense of the hospital's commitment to providing a suitable environment for pets and their owners.

The specific services offered at Sodus Veterinary Hospital are not comprehensively detailed in the provided reviews. One review mentions a pet owner's difficulty in securing a timely appointment for their suffering dog needing euthanasia, which implies that euthanasia services are likely offered. Euthanasia, or humane euthanasia, is a critical service provided by veterinary hospitals to alleviate pain and suffering in terminally ill or severely injured animals. The availability and scheduling of this service can be a significant factor for pet owners facing difficult end-of-life decisions for their beloved companions.

The second review offers a brief positive sentiment, expressing happiness with "our little boy!" and mentioning "Milo exploring the yard!" While heartwarming, this review does not provide specific information about the services received. It could imply routine wellness checks, vaccinations, or general care that contributed to the pet's good health and well-being. However, without more context, it's challenging to ascertain the full spectrum of services provided by Sodus Veterinary Hospital.

In terms of features, the limited reviews offer contrasting perspectives. The negative review raises concerns about the hospital's scheduling policies and perceived lack of urgency in accommodating a severely ill pet. The reviewer expresses strong dissatisfaction with the three-day wait time for an appointment in what they considered a situation requiring immediate relief for the animal. This feedback, while subjective, highlights a potential area of concern regarding appointment availability, especially for urgent or end-of-life care.

Conversely, the brief positive review suggests that Sodus Veterinary Hospital has contributed to the good health and happiness of at least one pet. This indicates that they are capable of providing care that leads to positive outcomes for their patients. However, the lack of detail makes it difficult to identify specific features or strengths of the hospital's services based solely on this comment.

Promotional information for Sodus Veterinary Hospital is not available in the provided reviews. To learn about any current promotions, special offers, or specific details about their services, it is recommended to contact them directly at (315) 483-8900 or +1 315-483-8900. You can inquire about their hours of operation, appointment scheduling policies, the full range of services they offer (including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dental care, emergency services, etc., if applicable), and any specific promotions for new clients or ongoing wellness programs. Visiting their website or social media pages, if available, might also provide additional information about their practice and team.

For local users in Williamson, NY, and the surrounding areas considering Sodus Veterinary Hospital, the limited and conflicting information necessitates a cautious approach. The negative review regarding appointment availability for a suffering pet is a serious concern that potential clients should consider. It raises questions about the hospital's capacity to handle urgent situations and their communication protocols in such circumstances. On the other hand, the positive review, while lacking specifics, suggests that they can provide satisfactory care. Given the lack of comprehensive information, it is strongly recommended that local users contact Sodus Veterinary Hospital directly to inquire about their services, appointment policies, emergency procedures, and overall approach to patient care. Speaking with the staff and potentially visiting the clinic may provide a more informed basis for making decisions about your pet's veterinary needs. It is essential to feel confident in the responsiveness and compassionate care provided by your chosen veterinary hospital, especially in critical situations.

Nightmare. After being long term client with multiple rescues our last and final visit came about a year ago. We are still grieving and it’s taken this long to discuss it. Making this short, our geriatric, ill, little dog was so sick it was time to end his suffering. I called in daytime, during week, to be told by uncaring receptionist Jennifer they had no time to euthanize him. She offered to make note in chart. Would not ask doc who had always been caring. Suggested I call one of numbers on answering machine. I stated the first as the closed clinic in Henrietta, the second was Orchard Park,99 miles from my home. Finally she suggested new urgent animal care in Webster,20 miles from my home. They saved us and he left us peacefully while we cried. Never had I expected to be treated so badly .

My cat had been brought here when our old vet would not see her she is an indoor cat with her front claws de clawed and she is very afraid of people that she does not know. She had been labeled as a “sassy” cat but they were willing to work with us to try and treat our cat who had arthritis however after one trip to the vet a man was trying to examine her and she was being feisty however in previous visits we were able to hold and help her this man threw a towel over her head which made her worse because she is scared and an old cat. While he was poking and prodding at her she was freaking out and threw her back legs around and cut the man and after that we were told that she is not welcome and we COULD come back but only if we want to put her down… breaks my heart to have a vet who is supposed to work WITH animals saying to me because they scare my cat that she can’t get any more help for her arthritis and if we want to ever bring her back there it has to be when we want her put to sleep

I will always give Dr B and his staff a 5 star rating. They do care about the animals they see. Unfortunately they are short staffed which is limiting the services they can provide. So for those who want to give a low rating, put yourself in their shoes as I know they put themselves and your fur baby in theirs.
