I have not visited Dr. Small at his new location but when he practiced at Animal Hospital in Lakewood Ranch, he was our vet for approximately 10 years. During that time we had 4 different dogs with varying serious health issues. I have not had a more compassionate, gentle and professionally competent vet in my 40 years of dog ownership. When he left, I was led to believe he had relocated, so made no attempt to track him down but recently heard he is still in the area so will be calling immediately to see if he is taking “new” patients. By the way, I have been disappointed in the level of care with the group who took over when he left , but due to severe health issues myself, I stayed with them strictly for my own convenience. I cannot stress enough the personal and professional dedication Dr. Small exhibits to all his clients.
