Small Door Veterinary - Gramercy

All the doctors and nurses are excellent! You will not regret joining the small door family, because your pet will be in the best of hands! And did I mention their absolutely stunning and spotless facility, with delicious coffee?

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Eliza. I’ve been in the city with my pup for awhile now and was going to another vet when my sister decided to try out Small Doors with her tiny chihuahua. I was impressed by the level of care she mentioned when she came home, alongside the results of the neutering (no scars no bumps!) that being said, it inspired me to visit as well. Dr. Eliza and the staff seem to really love animals, and were attentive and accommodating to my pup. Not only did she examine him on the floor after I mentioned he gets nervous on the table, but she was also extremely informative. I went because he had a mass on his eye, and his previous vet said they didn’t know what it was and surgery would be the next step. Dr. Eliza, however, walked me through what it could be, alongside did additional testing to see if we could identify things. My previous vet was also very pushy about some procedures and wouldn’t explain in depth what they would be for, and Dr. Eliza on the other hand took her time in explaining and always gave me options, making it feel like I was making a well informed decision rather than blindly following advice or being pressured to pay for procedures that I wasn’t even too sure about. I’d highly recommend Small Doors!

I can’t say enough good things about Small Door! Everyone there is SO nice and helpful and have been incredibly supportive with my new puppy. The office is welcoming and clean, and my puppy is so excited every time we go.

Small Door! My cats have better health care than we humans do. We go to the Gramercy location. But have also been to the Greenwich Village location. Small Door is uniformly bright, cheerful CLEAN (no litter box smells ever) and calm. The coffee/seltzer bar goes a long way toward keeping humans calm too. The tech Small Door uses (between the app, timed texts, timed emails, manual emails, and an occasional old fashioned phone call) WORKS SEAMLESSLY. It’s easier to manage appointments and medications and medical questions for my cats then is is for myself. The Humans ant Small Door are pretty amazing too. From reception to the exam rooms, Dr V, Dr O’C, Dr T, and vet nurses L, G, and P have provided the best informed care and bedside manner I’ve ever experienced. Grateful for Small Door Gramercy!

I really cannot praise enough about this practice. From signing up the membership to the first appointment, the practice stayed on top of the information I needed to provide in order for them to give my puppy the proper care. At the appointment, the doctor and the staff were friendly and explained clearly the care my puppy needed. They were also very transparent with pricing and tried to offer most efficient solutions - hey, having a puppy in NYC is costly, so their understanding of a customer’s cost concern is appreciated! Overall, I am very happy with this practice and will stay with them as my puppy’s vet.
