We were so pleased with the care our cat Ollie received from an amazing and caring staff. Our cat was treated like a king. The vet tech and vet were so kind and informative during Ollie’s stay. The vet tech came to our car to offer reassurance to us as we waited for Ollie’s test results. They did every thing right. We are so thankful!

Mar 26, 2025 · Cheryl EngelmanThe staff here saved our dog's life. Our dog Ricky was very sick after he ingested several clothing items and had a small bowel obstruction. The entire staff was very caring, and they professionally provided us with several options at each juncture. We were kept informed throughout his treatment. We gave informed consent for a surgery and the vet did a fantastic job retrieving the fabric from a difficult place in the small bowel. Our dog healed wonderfully. Furthermore, pricing was extremely reasonable when we compared with other emergency veterinary services in the area. Places in Raleigh would've charged 2-3x as much. This is the go to place for true veterinary emergencies.
Oct 21, 2024 · Monty CobraTook my Ozzy B here after being attacked by other dogs or coyotes. He had some deep, gnarly wounds and the Vet did a great job! Our experience here was great! We were shown the cost of treatment beforehand so there were no surprises. Returned a week later to have drainage tubes removed and we were treated with the same care as the first emergency visit. Our fur baby is healing and we are so thankful for their emergency services!
Feb 11, 2025 · Jennifer BaggettSAES saved my golden retriever's life Wednesday night. Laney, the puppy, eats everything she sees and it almost killed her. She had been acting very off for a day when I knew we had an emergency. I called her regular vet, Longleaf in Southern Pines, early Wednesday morning and had to leave a message. It took 45 minutes to get a call back from a receptionist. I told her I had an emergency, she told me there was no possibility of her getting Laney in, even though I've witnessed emergencies come in at other times. She suggested I take Laney to Fayetteville pets emergency... As the day went on, Laney was getting worse & I eneded up at SAES early evening. Dr. Souza had her in surgery within the hour, removing 2 rocks and a metal disk from her digestive tract. I can't thank her and the entire staff enough! I hope if you are reading this review, you understand I am posting this to help other people in an emergency situation. Laney and I were not handled correctly at Longleaf, and they are extremely popular. I had a true emergency, I was an established client, and a receptionist (Pam) made the executive decision. That is not okay. My point is, with every practice, there will be happy and unhappy clients. I had a very good experience at SAES and would absolutely recommend them.
Mar 21, 2025 · ChellesWe had to put our sweet 13 yr old pup down on the weekend. Couldn’t go to a vet we were familiar with. This was our first visit and the staff could not have been moor compassionate. Just as if Ranger were their own dog. Very happy. Thank you Dr. Whitehead and staff.
