Skylos Sports Medicine - Ellicott City

A friend recommended Skylos after having both knees done on their dog. The staff and Dr. were friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything about the process and procedures. Hoping my guy will only need the one leg repaired but I will definitely return to Skylos if necessary. Picture they sent after his surgery and his first day home.

Skylos Frederick is amazing! My pup needed back-to-back bilateral TPLO surgery (8 weeks apart), and both surgeries were extremely successful! Dr. Kennedy, and all of the Skylos staff, are extremely competent and professional. The practice is organized, very communicative, and it is apparent how everyone there loves animals. They set my mind at ease post-surgery, and even sent pictures of my pup late into the night! My furbaby was in excellent hands, and I highly, highly recommend Skylos!

Great experience from start to finish. Tabatha was great with scheduling. Dr.Lotsikas is of course the best of the best and even though he is busy and highly sought after took his time answering all of my questions and explaining the surgery. The front staff were very friendly and organized, the tech (sorry forgot her name) was really sweet with my dog who can be a super drama queen. I highly reccomend them. We drove up from Florida to get Dr.Lotsikas treatment opionion / have him do the surgery. Updating post surgery (still 5 stars). Dr. Lotsikas is a class act. Not only is he knowledgeable and skilled he is also kind and patient. He takes his time answering your questions (in person and via email). I really really appreciate that. CheTarra was the person / one of the people who took care of Jo on her overnight and she also took her time to let me know how Jo was doing and answer questions (and sent me a picture of her). Karen has also been very kind and helpful. I really appreciate the receptionist who processed everything through Jo's insurance so that saved a lot of effort and a huge upfront cost. Everyone we have interacted with there has been amazing.

Dr. Fink was my dog's surgeon and clearly explained the procedure, using a model that showed what a TPLO surgery would look like. I felt very confident having him fix my dog's torn meniscus and torn ligament. She is now recovering well.

I visited Skylos twice recently - once for a consult and again the following week for my dog's procedure. The staff are so professional, kind, and thorough. You can tell that you will have a good experience, as soon as you walk through the door. We worked with Dr. Fink and Rebecca, both of whom were friendly and comforting. The office staff are engaging and helpful, as well. My dog and I are comfortable here, which makes the long drive worth it for us. Thank you!
