These guys are the best. Very caring, very knowledgeable and experienced. Also practical / realistic (like when dealing with an older animal). I've never had an issue getting an urgent care visit on the same day when necessary. (Other practices have told me the next opening would be 2-3weeks??!). I drive an extra 45 minutes to get here, but I know my guys are getting the best care

As a full-service "Pet Hospital," Seneca Animal Hospital provides a wide array of veterinary services to cater to the diverse needs of pets. They welcome all dogs, cats, and even some exotic and pocket pets, though they are currently accepting a limited number of new dog and cat patients and not taking new avian, small mammal, or exotic pets at this time. Their services include:
- Wellness and Preventive Care: This is a cornerstone of their practice, encompassing routine wellness visits, vaccinations, parasite control, and personalized pet nutrition counseling. They emphasize early detection and preventive measures to ensure long-term health.
- Urgent Care and Emergency Services: Seneca Animal Hospital stands out for its ability to provide urgent care visits, often on the same day when necessary, a critical service that many other practices struggle to offer. They have a veterinarian and personnel on duty six days a week who are trained and equipped to handle various urgent and emergency situations, such as accidental poison ingestion or injuries. They encourage clients to call immediately or come in if they suspect an emergency.
- Diagnostic Services: The hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic capabilities, including various testing and imaging services to accurately diagnose a wide range of medical conditions. While specific equipment is not detailed, a full-service hospital typically has access to X-rays, blood work, and other diagnostic tools.
- Surgical Services: They perform routine procedures and more complex surgeries. Their veterinarians have years of experience in surgical care, ensuring that pets receive safe and effective treatment when surgery is required.
- Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services are available to maintain optimal oral health for pets, which is crucial for overall well-being.
- Laser Therapy: This modern, non-invasive treatment option is offered, which can be beneficial for various conditions, aiding in pain relief, reducing inflammation, and promoting healing.
- Hospice and Euthanasia Services: Seneca Animal Hospital provides caring and compassionate pet euthanasia services, including in-office and potentially at-home options (they also list external services like Lap of Love), acknowledging the difficult decisions pet owners face and providing support during these sensitive times.

Mar 29, 2025 · Dee ScimeThe women in front are so welcoming & helpful (whether it’s a phone call or in-person!). They have a great group of Vet Techs. Very sweet and accommodating Big shout out to Dr. Tomaschke! Been with him for years and he is EXACTLY what you want when it comes to a Vet for your pets. He won’t steer you wrong, give you an honest opinion and always willing to try multiple methods to make sure your pet is the healthiest & happiest they can be! Everyone here is absolutely amazing!
Feb 15, 2025 · Andrew MusialThe only vet practice we will ever trust. The most friendly and compassionate staff. 17 years and going strong. Great care for our pups.
Apr 05, 2025 · McKenzie HigginsLove them here! I've been taking my dogs here for over a decade now. They've been more open minded than most vets when discussing different breed specific health concerns we've dealt with. They've been so great with my dogs chronic health issues, including an anaphalactic dog & a senior, just living his best years! The staff is kind, caring & will take the time to discuss & explain things thoroughly. I highly recommend them! 🥰🐾💯💜
Mar 26, 2021 · Renee BoyarskiI have been going here for the last 13 years. Over the years the drs and staff have always been fantastic. They seem to truly want whats best for you and not for their profits. I have several stories to tell that back that up but in the interest of keeping this short just take my word for it. I would recommend highly this place if you truly love your pets.
