The techs are awesome, Dr. Scotton was awesome the 1time I saw him. The front desk receptionist that’s a different story. This is not my first issue with her but this will be my last. She is incredibly rude and unprofessional! I am so disappointed to leave an awesome Veterinary office but this takes the cake. The past 2 times she’s been rude and smart tail. Today was #3 of mouth, attitude and rudeness! I thought that maybe before was just bad timing today was enough. Dr. Scotton your front staff make your office/business look horrible and I’m sorry for that!

The **environment** at Scotton David F DVM, like most professional veterinary practices, is designed to accommodate the needs of both animals and their owners. While specific details about the interior decor or waiting room amenities are not available, a typical vet office strives to be clean, organized, and as calming as possible to reduce stress for pets. Examination rooms are equipped for thorough check-ups and consultations. Testimonials indicate that the technical staff ("techs are awesome") and Dr. Scotton himself contribute significantly to a positive clinical environment, as one reviewer mentioned the team being "Very caring and to my babies and me and my husband." This suggests that the core of the environment is built on compassionate interaction with the animals. However, it's worth noting that one review pointed to a specific issue with a front desk receptionist's demeanor, suggesting that while clinical care is strong, client-facing service at the front desk might occasionally impact the overall experience. Despite this, the focus remains on the professional and caring treatment provided within the examination and treatment areas of the facility.
As a "Pet Hospital" under the care of Dr. David F. Scotton, the practice would offer a range of **services** common to general veterinary medicine, focused on maintaining the health and well-being of companion animals. These services typically include:
- Wellness and Preventive Care: This foundational service includes routine physical examinations, age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite control (for heartworm, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites), and nutritional counseling. The emphasis is on proactive care to prevent illnesses and maintain long-term health.
- Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose various conditions, the clinic would likely provide in-house laboratory testing for blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams, allowing for prompt results. Digital radiography (X-rays) would also be a standard offering for imaging internal structures.
- Medical Services: Diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of common and complex medical conditions, including allergies, dermatological issues, gastrointestinal problems, and infectious diseases.
- Surgical Procedures: Common surgical services would likely include routine spays and neuters, as well as minor soft tissue surgeries. Patient safety would be paramount, involving pre-surgical assessments, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative pain management.
- Dental Care: Professional dental cleanings (scaling and polishing), extractions of diseased teeth, and advice on at-home dental hygiene are crucial for overall pet health.
- Pain Management: Assessment and management of acute and chronic pain conditions to ensure pets' comfort and quality of life.
- Microchipping: A vital service for pet identification and recovery, increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners.
- Pharmacy: An in-house pharmacy would typically be available for convenient access to necessary medications and prescription diets.
- Puppy and Kitten Care: Specialized care plans for young pets, including initial examinations, vaccination series, and deworming.
- Senior Pet Care: Tailored wellness programs and diagnostics to address the specific health challenges of aging pets.

Local online directories and review platforms would also be crucial, as new clients often consult these before choosing a vet. While one review points to a challenge with front office interactions, the strong positive sentiment about the veterinary care itself would be a key promotional asset. They might also utilize social media platforms to share pet health tips, clinic news, and engaging content that reinforces their commitment to animal well-being. Participation in local community events or partnerships with animal rescue organizations could also be part of their outreach strategy, demonstrating their involvement in the Greensboro pet community.
