Moved back to NY from CA, adopted two cats who were already patients and I needed a new vet for my dog. From the first appointment I knew I had made the right choice. Everyone at this hospital wants the best for your pet. Reasonably priced and they are always willing to listen to your concerns. Can’t recommend them enough.

Welcome to Scarsdale Animal Hospital

Welcome to our introduction to Scarsdale Animal Hospital, a Pet Hospital located at 741 Post Rd, Scarsdale, NY 10583, USA. As a local Pet Hospital, Scarsdale Animal Hospital aims to provide veterinary care services to the community. To help local users understand what to expect, we've compiled an objective overview based on the available customer reviews.

Based on the feedback from individuals who have interacted with Scarsdale Animal Hospital, there appear to be varying experiences. One customer who recently moved back to New York and adopted two cats already under the hospital's care, and who also needed a vet for their dog, shared a positive experience. This reviewer felt they made the right choice, stating that "everyone at this hospital wants the best for your pet." They also found the prices to be "reasonably priced" and appreciated the staff's willingness to listen to their concerns, ultimately recommending the hospital highly.

In contrast, another customer reported a significantly negative experience. This individual had an appointment and communicated that they might arrive at the 15-minute grace period mark, or possibly a minute later, due to an Uber. The reviewer described the front desk staff as "extremely rude," recounting a frustrating phone interaction involving being put on hold multiple times. The staff member reportedly kept repeating "I can't guarantee it" regarding their appointment. The reviewer also mentioned having their 82-year-old mother with them and explained their transportation situation, but felt the staff showed no empathy. They were also told they were the last appointment of the day and the doctor needed to leave, which later seemed contradictory when the staff mentioned the doctor having another appointment. Due to this negative interaction and perceived rudeness, the reviewer decided to seek veterinary care elsewhere, emphasizing the importance of finding a place where staff are more considerate.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it's challenging to provide a definitive picture of the environment, services, and features of Scarsdale Animal Hospital. The positive review suggests a caring and reasonably priced service where staff are attentive to pet owners' concerns. This might indicate a welcoming environment focused on the well-being of animals. Services likely include routine check-ups, care for existing patients (as mentioned with the adopted cats), and potentially vaccinations and other general veterinary care given the context of a Pet Hospital.

On the other hand, the negative review paints a picture of potentially rigid policies, poor customer service, and a lack of empathy from at least one member of the front desk staff. This experience could suggest inconsistencies in the overall patient experience. It does not provide insight into the clinical services themselves but certainly highlights a significant issue with the administrative aspect of the hospital.

Regarding features, the positive review implies a focus on the pet's best interest and a willingness to listen to owners. The fact that they were already caring for the adopted cats suggests continuity of care for established patients. However, the negative review does not shed light on any specific positive features of the hospital.

Currently, there is no explicit promotional information available in the provided text. Therefore, we cannot detail any specific promotions being offered by Scarsdale Animal Hospital.

For local users in Scarsdale, NY, considering Scarsdale Animal Hospital, these reviews offer a glimpse into potential experiences. One suggests a positive, caring environment with reasonable pricing, while the other recounts a very negative interaction with the front desk. It would be prudent to consider both perspectives when making a decision about your pet's care.

This Vet was extremely rude. I had an appointment and they have a 15 min grace period. I called and was put on hold for almost 10 mins. I had to call again and they tried to put me on hold again at which point I just had to speak quickly so they wouldn’t put me back on hold. They have a 15 min grace period and I called to let them know that I was going to be there exactly at that 15 min mark or possibly one minute later according to Uber. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and kept saying I can’t guarantee it over and over. My 82 year old mother was with me and I explained that to them and told them my Uber was almost here and they could care less about any of it. Then she said I was the last appointment of the day and the doctor needed to leave right after me. I gave it one last try extremely politely and she then responded I would be cutting into someone else’s appointment lol. I then said you just told me the doctor was leaving and she replied “Well he has another appointment” at that point I said I would find another vet and hung up. I love my puppy way too much to bring him somewhere where the people that are employed there are this rude. There are a lot of great vets in the area. Definitely consider skipping this one!

This location is 2nd to none, the staff is amazing and Dr Star is hands is the best Vet I've ever had. He saved my dogs life even after places like the pet ER in tarrytown after 2 days charged me over 3k and handed me back a dying dog (Pancreatitis) and said their was nothing they could do. That was 3 years ago and Jax is still here and as healthy as ever! Thank you Dr Star and Scarsdale Animal Hospital.

Took my deliela there for tumor’s removal all went well and done in one day. Total of 2 removed. I can’t even thank the doctor Starr for the handling of my precious pup of 11 years. The staff was very nice and helpful and friendly. 🫶 These pictures is of the two removed front and front arm pit area. I will post after pictures later due to her recovering ❤️‍🩹 hope this will help others out in thinking of getting help on issues with there beloved pets if possible. After a couple of days now she’s on her feet as always and playing with her balls. Tom boy. 😂 Healing will take time as with any procedure. She’s now a healthy and doing good.

The staff and doctors are very caring and treat you as if you’re family. The care they gave to my dogs was exceptional. I am so thankful for them being there when my little girl crossed over the rainbow bridge today.
