Oct 26, 2024 · caylie brauchlerI have two fur babies and I have never felt more confident about bringing them somewhere where I knew they'd be loved and watched over like at this clinic. Tayler took care of my baby Oliver like he was her own before, during and after his surgery and I was so happy with how quickly he recovered. The doctors are so compassionate and really reassured me prior to bringing him in. I cannot say enough about how amazing this clinic is. Thank you so much for everything!!!
Dec 09, 2024 · Delaney HendersonGENUINELY DISGUSTED OF THIS PLACE! I brought my baby here for a dental procedure. From the front desk to the tech and the vet-who I never met btw, only spoke over the phone-were rude, disrespectful and there was a complete lack of compassion. I had a very bad feeling leaving my baby here but because he needed the procedure I decided to proceed. As I said I had a bad feeling and on my way home I called them and asked if they will administer fluids to my pet during the procedure. The receptionist said no, they will NOT. I asked "you don't give fluids to pets that undergo surgery??" She repeated NO, except maybe if the pet has some serious health issue! I asked them to administer fluids to my pet because first of all, to be without ANY hydration from 7am to 5-6 pm, would be a torture to any pet, but a vet knows that their blood pressure drops signifficantly during sedation and this could cause kidney damage! The "vet"- because I can't call a person this uncaring, irresponsible and unprofessional a vet- could care less! This says a LOT about this facility and this vet! At my request, they said they did administer him fluids-I hope they did!! The vet called me after the procedure and explained what had been done- I was shocked she extracted 5 teeth but I was ok with that if it was necessary. To my question she said she will not talk to me in person when I pick him up, because she will not be there. I have to add I was a new client and would expect to meet the vet after such an invasive procedure so she could maybe explain everything? Maybe? But this shows again, the lack of care for the pet and respect for the client. I was not even offered a room at pick up, instead I had to wait in the noisy lobby, even with my frightened pet because when the vet tech brought him out, I asked if he recieved antibiotics and she said no! I asked why and she went to ask THE VET who is not supposed to be there as she said to avoid meeting me!! Vet said it was not necessary because there was no infection. So there were cavities so bad the teeth had to be extracted-caused by bacteria but there were no infection?? Let's say there wasn't but shouldn't you use antibiotics when there are gaping holes in his mouth you had to stich up? Maybe just to prevent infection and suffering for the pet? Of course not because these people could care less about animals. I petted him and the tech said "don't pet him there, they administered a topical pain medication there". There was no further exlanation on what that medication was or what precautions should I take. I said I have 3 other pets at home, isn't this dangerous to them if I can't touch it?! She said seperate them for the night then it *should* be safe. But the most shocking part only came on our way home. I noticed his ears and whole body was abnormally hot, but he was not panting. I know some pain meds can have a serious side effect: hyperthermia-abnormally high body temperature. I got worried and called them from the way home. A different vet answered the phone and he said it is probably from the heat pads they used. But as I said he didn't appear to be "hot" in the normal way where he would pant- he didn't, he just had an abnormally high body temperature. Still worried that this is the side effect of one of the drugs they used I asked him what would be the sign I need to take him to the closest ER? This sick person said: WHEN HE STOPPED BREATHING! When I told this to the female vet, she LAUGHED! These are sick people! In 30 years of owning pets, multiple at a time, I have never met a "vet" who would be so hateful, arrogant, disrespectful and would so openly HATE ANIMALS as they do! He, and the vet who performed the procedure as well should choose a different profession as they clearly hate pets! He basically wished death on my pet! These people are a disgrace to veterinarians! Also the opioid pain med they used on him without informing me of the dangers poisoned my other two pets as they licked him! I had to take them to the ER! Thank God we have a new, wonderful vet now.

Jan 24, 2025 · Theresa GrahamSan Pablo Animal Hospital is full of incredibly sweet staff. Especially Cara and Dr. Owen’s. I got my dog fixed here and the staff has been there for me and my pup every step of the way. It means a lot to be able to tell the staff genuinely cares about your pup’s wellbeing! I was even able to email pictures to them and make sure that my pup is healing nicely. So appreciated!
