This is NOT a low cost clinic as they advertise so be careful if you're on a budget. They have a lot of add ons, forced or otherwise that jack up the price significantly. So make sure you confirm everything first if money is an issue. They advertise $115 for a small dog spay, and I knew there would be extras, but I certainly wasn't expecting it to be so high. I would have raised an eyebrow if it came to $215. But mine came to a whopping $315! They said because my dog is a shih tzu and has a pug nose it's an extra $115. But she's a mixed breed and clearly does not. But they wouldn't budge on the price. If my dad wasn't there to help me I would have had to walk out. I should have stayed with Banfield for half the price but couldn't get an appointment there when I needed.

San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care, a local pet hospital situated at 2860 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92104, USA. As a platform category dedicated to Pet Hospitals, we aim to provide local users with detailed information about veterinary services available in their vicinity. This introduction will delve into the environment, services offered, key features, and incorporate feedback from actual customers to present an objective overview of San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care.

San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care can be contacted via phone at (619) 977-1114 or mobile phone at +1 619-977-1114. For pet owners in the San Diego area seeking veterinary assistance, this clinic offers a potential option. Understanding the nuances of a veterinary practice is crucial for ensuring your beloved companions receive the best possible care. Therefore, we will explore various aspects of this clinic, drawing upon available information, including direct customer experiences.

Based on online reviews, it appears that San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care experiences a high volume of patients, which might suggest a demand for their services within the community. One reviewer mentioned that the clinic was "Busy, but pets still are cared for," specifically in the context of spaying and neutering three cats. This indicates that the clinic is equipped to handle a significant number of procedures and that, at least in this customer's experience, the animals received adequate care despite the busy environment.

However, it is essential to consider all feedback to gain a comprehensive understanding. Several reviews raise concerns regarding the affordability aspect highlighted in the clinic's name. One customer explicitly stated, "This is NOT a low cost clinic as they advertise so be careful if you're on a budget." This review further elaborates on the issue of "add ons" and charges that significantly increased the initial quoted price. The customer advises others to "make sure you confirm everything first if money is an issue," suggesting a potential discrepancy between advertised prices and the final cost of services.

Another customer shared a specific instance related to a spay procedure for a small dog. While an initial price of $115 was advertised, the final bill amounted to $315. The additional charges included a $115 fee because the dog was identified as a Shih Tzu with a "pug nose," a claim the owner disputed, stating their dog was a mixed breed and did not possess this characteristic. Despite the owner's disagreement, the clinic reportedly did not adjust the price. This experience underscores the importance of clear communication and transparent pricing, particularly when a clinic emphasizes affordability.

The same reviewer contrasted their experience with Banfield Pet Hospital, suggesting that the cost at San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care was significantly higher than what they would have paid elsewhere. This comparison highlights the importance for pet owners to research and compare prices for veterinary services in their area to make financially sound decisions.

Considering the feedback, potential clients of San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care should be diligent in inquiring about all potential costs associated with the required services before proceeding. It would be prudent to request a detailed breakdown of the charges to avoid unexpected expenses. While the clinic may offer a range of veterinary services, the "affordability" aspect appears to be a point of contention among some customers.

As a Pet Hospital, San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care likely provides a range of essential services for pets, which typically include routine check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, and surgical procedures such as spaying and neutering. Given the reviews, it is reasonable to infer that they offer spay and neuter services, as mentioned by multiple customers. However, the pricing and potential for additional charges seem to be critical factors for pet owners to consider.

To provide a more comprehensive understanding of the clinic's features, further information regarding their facilities, equipment, and the expertise of their veterinary staff would be beneficial. However, based on the available reviews, the focus appears to be on the customer experience related to pricing transparency and the final cost of services.

For local users in search of a Pet Hospital in San Diego, it is recommended to consider San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care as one of the options, but with a strong emphasis on proactive communication regarding pricing. Potential benefits might include their capacity to handle a high volume of patients and the availability of essential surgical procedures like spay and neuter. However, the reported discrepancies between advertised prices and final charges, as well as the potential for unexpected add-on fees, warrant careful consideration.

In conclusion, San Diego Affordable Veterinary Care is a Pet Hospital located in San Diego, offering veterinary services that include at least spaying and neutering. While some customers have found their pets to be cared for adequately, significant concerns have been raised regarding the transparency and accuracy of their pricing, particularly in relation to advertised costs. Local users are advised to thoroughly discuss and confirm all potential charges before proceeding with any services at this clinic to ensure it aligns with their budgetary expectations. Further research and comparison with other local veterinary options may also be beneficial in making an informed decision about your pet's care.

I've taken 3 of my cat here to get their spayed and neutered. Busy, but pets still are cared for .

Every Wednesday, these vets have a walk-in vaccine clinic from 1 to 2. The prices are very reasonable and no extra hidden fees show up on the bill. Charge cards do pay an extra $3 which is posted in the room. Enter from the parking lot. GREAT VETS!

Have to show my appreciation for them taking such good care of my dog. They called the next day to check on him and advised I bring him in again for more fluids since he didn’t improve too much with a (complementary 24 hr office visit) and the second visit really helped him, he began eating that night and had more energy and today is almost back to normal..My baby means the world to me and they treated him as if they felt the same way lol thank you so much to Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Peterson and their team. The price was pretty affordable for an urgent care facility as well, so I recommend them 100%

Took our cat here after an accident grooming. They quickly took care of her, we are very happy with the service and will make the drive half way across San Diego to return anytime we are need of help. HIGHLY recommend. Great prices
