A good option for a cheap, rapid, and short notice spay/neuter. Your pet may be traumatized. $170 to spay my 40lb dog $300 for same day blood work, although it's optional if your pet is young enough and only $200 if you get it done in advance $110 if you get all the vaccines (rabies etc.) $20 nail trim Anti-nausea, sedative, and anaesthesia are charged separately as well. I ended up paying around $700-$800 all things totalled up, which is STILL a fraction of what the vet and urgent care were quoting for a short notice spay. I needed mine short notice, which limited my options. This place got me in the very next day. The care left a lot to be desired, the check-in and pickup 'vet-techs' seemed young and very busy. There was only 1 working the counter when I arrived and when I came for pickup. They clearly knew what they were doing, were familiar with day to day operations and pricing, but rushed to handle so many clients. So busy in fact, at pickup, me and 3 other clients were briefed on the operations, how to handle aftercare, and given back our animals simultaneously. Not much time was given for any kind of questions. This alone would be fine for a 4 out of 5 star, but I feel my animal suffered unnecessarily. When we arrived for pickup I could already hear my dog crying non stop. I know I know I know, 'Probably just separation anxiety'. No. It's been hours since we got home and my dog is clearly still in pain. I paid for all the optional amenities so that my dog would be cared for, but they clearly skimped on the pain med or anesthesia. I gave her the aftercare pain med which took forever to kick in. As it stands, I don't see myself coming back here.

Welcome to San Diego Affordable Spay and Neuter Clinic
Welcome, local pet owners of Bengaluru! If you're seeking affordable veterinary care, particularly spay and neuter services, for your beloved animal companions, it's essential to explore all available options. While the San Diego Affordable Spay and Neuter Clinic is located in Escondido, California, USA, understanding the services and experiences offered by such facilities can provide valuable insights into what to look for in your local pet hospitals.
San Diego Affordable Spay and Neuter Clinic, operating under the category of a "Pet Hospital," focuses on providing accessible and cost-effective solutions for essential pet care, primarily sterilization procedures. Their address is 855 E Valley Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92025, USA, and they can be contacted via phone at (760) 532-9335 or mobile at +1 760-532-9335. Examining the experiences of their past clients can offer a glimpse into what one might expect from a clinic prioritizing affordability and high-volume services.
Based on customer reviews, the clinic is indeed a viable option for pet owners seeking budget-friendly spay and neuter procedures, especially when needing a quick appointment. One reviewer mentioned a $170 cost for spaying a 40lb dog, significantly lower than quotes received from traditional veterinary clinics and urgent care facilities for a short-notice procedure. This highlights a key feature of such clinics: their ability to offer services at a lower price point, potentially making essential care more accessible to a wider range of pet owners.
Beyond spay and neuter, the clinic offers additional services such as same-day blood work (at a cost of $300, or $200 if done in advance, and optional for younger pets), vaccinations (at $110 for a full set including rabies), and nail trims ($20). It's important to note that certain necessary components like anti-nausea medication, sedatives, and anesthesia are often charged separately. As one customer experienced, the total cost, including these add-ons, can accumulate to a range of $700-$800 for a spay procedure with short notice, although this was still considerably less than other quotes received.
The environment and operational aspects of the clinic appear to be geared towards efficiency and high throughput. Reviews suggest that the front desk and veterinary technicians are young and manage a high volume of clients. One reviewer noted that during both check-in and pickup, only one staff member was working the counter, indicating a potentially busy environment. While the staff were described as knowledgeable about operations and pricing, the fast-paced nature of the clinic meant that clients, as one reviewer experienced, were briefed on aftercare simultaneously with other pet owners, potentially limiting the time for individual questions and concerns.
A significant point raised in the reviews concerns the level of individualized care and post-operative comfort of the animals. One pet owner expressed concern that their dog seemed to be in considerable pain post-surgery, despite having paid for all optional amenities, suggesting a possible inadequacy in pain management or anesthesia. The reviewer mentioned hearing their dog cry incessantly upon pickup and observed signs of pain even hours after returning home, despite administering the prescribed aftercare pain medication. This experience led the reviewer to state they would not return to the clinic, highlighting a potential trade-off between affordability and the perceived level of personalized attention and comfort provided to the animals.
In contrast, another reviewer reported a positive experience with the clinic, specifically mentioning the "SNAP team" (likely referring to the Spay Neuter Action Project or a similar initiative). This customer praised the efficiency, friendliness, and knowledge of the staff, from the appointment scheduling process to the aftercare of their two cats. They were able to secure an appointment within a month of their email request, dropped off their cats early in the morning, and picked them up in the early afternoon. This positive feedback indicates that some pet owners have satisfactory experiences with the clinic, with their pets healing quickly and well.
Considering these varied experiences, it's crucial for pet owners in Bengaluru seeking affordable veterinary care to weigh the potential benefits of cost savings and efficient service against potential drawbacks such as a busy environment and the level of individualized attention provided. When researching local pet hospitals offering spay and neuter services, it would be prudent to inquire about their protocols for anesthesia and pain management, the staff-to-patient ratio, and the time allocated for post-operative care instructions and addressing owner concerns.
Furthermore, exploring the environment of local clinics, understanding their appointment procedures, and reading reviews from other Bengaluru pet owners can provide a more comprehensive picture. Factors such as the cleanliness of the facility, the apparent level of care and attention given to animals, and the clarity of communication from the staff are all important aspects to consider when choosing a veterinary care provider for your furry family members.
While San Diego Affordable Spay and Neuter Clinic offers a model of high-volume, affordable care, the varied customer experiences underscore the importance of thorough research and careful consideration when selecting a pet hospital. For pet owners in Bengaluru, this information serves as a reminder to look beyond just the price and to prioritize the overall well-being and comfort of their animals when making decisions about veterinary care. Investigating local options that balance affordability with a high standard of care, clear communication, and a focus on minimizing stress and discomfort for your pets is essential.

May 12, 2025 · Roberto HecksherI had a great experience with the SNAP team. From setting up the appointment to the aftercare of my two cats. I sent my email request in and they got back to me in a day. I listened to all of their directions and I was able to get my two cats in a month later. I dropped them off at 6:30am and picked them up around 1:30pm. The staff were efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. My two cats healed quickly and perfectly.
Feb 20, 2025 · TayThe clinic is definitely affordable, which is a major plus, but my experience didn’t quite match the glowing reviews. Check-in was slow—despite being third in line at drop-off, I waited nearly 30 minutes—and the facility felt more like a converted home than a typical veterinary office. When I returned to pick up my dog after surgery, the vet had already left, and the handoff felt a bit impersonal—not the level of care I was hoping for when it comes to a pet. There were a few minor upcharges, which wasn’t surprising given how low the base prices are. Honestly, I’d rather see the prices doubled or even tripled if it meant a more streamlined process with clearer check-in and check-out procedures. It would still be more affordable than many other local vets. If you’re on a tight budget, this clinic might be an option. But based on my experience, I’d recommend looking into other affordable providers in the area.
Mar 31, 2025 · Dan LLast week I had my 3 cats spayed & neutered with SNAP. This project is amazing and so helpful to the community. It’s affordable and they provide a lot of other services too. The process of signing our cats up, dropping them off, and picking them up was smoothly done. Brittany even sent us a message a few days later to check on the cats which I thought was nice! Thank you for what you are doing to help out!!
Mar 10, 2025 · Tai'Leayah Damron-BellIncredible service that they're providing for people to take care of their dogs, run by truly caring staff. They went OUT OF THEIR WAY to help this morning. Quick backstory is we were here last week, and had 2 small dogs to get fixed. Unfortunately they weren't able to get to them, so we did end up waiting all day and then they told us. They tried, but just ran out of time because it's a high volume clinic. Hey - you get what you pay for. Do you want to save thousands of dollars and wait or not? Because after a $600 vet visit for both dogs in Orange county, we were then quoted $3700 to take care of getting them fixed. Like what. Three thousand seven hundred dollars? USD not pesos are we serious. Here it's like 400-600, I don't know the exact price. All I know is that they were able to get us to come back the following week right when they opened at 7, on a priority list. So we were back with dogs in tow to do it again. I was waiting with the one dog while my finance parked and was going to take the recent street dog we rescued in. One big problem? The dog remembered the place. The other big problem? He's a bolter. So I'm standing up front and I hear my finance screaming my name and am just dumbstruck. Finally the neurons started firing and I took off after our dog, running down the street. The staff here were so nice that they helped!!! I managed to catch up with him and cajole getting him and was going to do the 3 blocks back. And lo and behold the lady who was going to check us in was there with a waiting car. I hopped in the car and we went back. Super caring. Super professional. We were back in the afternoon to get them. If you have a small dog, they go last. Big dogs are first. So it's a luck of a draw if you can get it done the same day, but worth the chance. It's super clean and well run, and my partner and I were able to have two beautiful day dates together in San Diego. Couldn't recommend them more!
