Had I seen the previous review about the other individual’s bird passing after seeing Dr Kuo, I would have never come here. My sister’s parakeet had gotten mites and we decided to come here to see what we could do about this. She was told over the phone that they had an avian veterinarian. Her bird was healthy when we initially came in, and the vet was aware that we were giving the bird an anti mite spray. However, the vet recommended that our pet needed medication for the mites. She gave us two options. One was a shot, in which she warned us that it could be fatal. The other option, which we chose, was a medication to put in the bird’s water. We followed instructions and the bird ended up having a bad reaction to the medication. We had to bring our pet back for an emergency the next morning, and our loving pet ended up dying at the age of 2. These birds usually live up to 16 years. The vet did NOT warn us that this option could also be fatal, otherwise it would have been something that we would have denied as well. After our pet died, we weren’t even offered a discount or any compensation. I spent about a grand in vet bills within two days just for our loving pet to die… a complete 180. After a few weeks, my sister came back to pick up the urn we paid for, and they gave her the bird’s ashes in a box without the urn. After asking for the urn, she was told that they will get it for her and she can put the ashes in herself. How traumatizing and disrespectful.. They ended up doing it for her, but I won’t ever go back there again.

Sep 28, 2024 · Valerie PonceDr. Beth Hirsch is a one of a kind, probably once in a lifetime type of veterinarian. A beautiful, kind, compassionate human being. In her care, animals are safe, of that I am sure. If you want a thorough, diligent, intelligent and empathic vet, she is the epitome of those traits. When she has seen my animals, I experienced magic with how she connects with them and nothing makes me happier than knowing they are not only patients to her, but whole beings that deserve true care. Dr. Hirsch listens, analyzes and presents multiple avenues to diagnose as well as multiple means of treatment. She is honest and trustworthy. I will forever be thankful to her for educating me, caring for my girls, caring about my concerns and always going above and beyond. We love you Dr Hirsch, always :)
Mar 04, 2024 · Shernella GayaDr. Beth Hirsch is one of the best!!!! If i could give 10 stars I would!!! She really cares about the pets she treats and doesn't just prescribe over-priced drugs to make the pain; she gets to the root cause and eliminates the problem! My 2 dogs have been seeing Dr. Hirsch for almost 4 years and in that time I have ALWAYS had a great experience! She is professional, yet approachable and does NOT mind when you ask questions like other vets do. She explains options, takes the time to clearly identify issues, and offers treatments in order of priority... Her rates are no higher than traditional vets! If you are considering Dr. Hirsch as your vet, I would tell you NOT TO WAIT another second! Call and schedule your visit with her, and expect a thorough exam EACH and EVERY time you see her. Your initial visit will be an extensive one where she will spend most of her time on the floor with your pet(s). Our initial visit with both of our dogs was 3 hours; all of which SHE was in the room, hands on. The role of the vet tech is just that, a tech who records vitals at the beginning of the visit and is with Dr. Hirsch during the entire exam. I cannot say enough about how happy I am to have found Dr. Hirsch for our pets! Don W.
Sep 13, 2023 · Don WargaWe haven't been to Riverdale Integrative Vet Care for too long but Dr. Hirsch has been taking care of our 2 cats and 1 dog for over 2 years now and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for having Dr. Hirsch as our vet. She always answers ALL of our questions during and even after our visit. That's maybe why the wait time can be slightly longer. But the wait is totally worth it. She never made us feel rushed during our appointment. In case of emergencies, she would find ways to squeeze us in despite of her packed schedule. She explains every single item on a lab test with us through emails. There was even one time she walked us through our pup's lab result 2 days after she did a surgery! Dr. Hirsch also provides us with all possible treatment options for us to consider and help us weigh the pros and cons of each one. Our pup would never become so healthy and active without her care. Dr. Hirsch should definitely be your go-to vet!!
Sep 14, 2023 · XiaoqiWe are deeply grateful for Dr. Kuo. We have a dog with kidney issues who has been helped enormously (as his bloodwork clearly shows) from her care, including sessions in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. We drive from NYC, but Dr. Kuo has info about a transport service (pick up/drop off for your dog) from the city. We are sooooo thankful for the (significant, measurable) improvements in his health. Go!
