We love this vet. The front desk team is incredibly friendly and professional. All of the techs are fantastic. Dr. Viren has done surgeries on both of our dog’s back legs. Both surgeries have turned out great. He does a great job explaining the procedure and helps put your mind at ease as a pet owner. He also makes himself available for questions in and out of the office.

The positive interactions from the "front desk team" contribute significantly to this welcoming atmosphere, setting a positive tone for the entire visit.

River Valley Veterinary Service offers a broad spectrum of veterinary services, catering to the diverse health needs of pets. A notable highlight of their service offerings includes **surgical procedures**, specifically mentioned by a client whose dog underwent "surgeries on both of our dog’s back legs" performed by Dr. Viren, with "both surgeries have turned out great." This indicates proficiency in complex orthopedic or soft tissue surgeries, providing a crucial service for pets requiring such interventions. Beyond specialized surgery, the clinic likely offers all standard veterinary services, including routine wellness exams, vaccinations, preventative care, diagnostics (such as blood work, X-rays), and potentially dental care. The fact that they "got me in quickly" for an urgent issue like a busted dewclaw demonstrates their responsiveness and ability to handle acute conditions promptly. The proactive communication from Dr. Viren, who "does a great job explaining the procedure and helps put your mind at ease as a pet owner" and "makes himself available for questions in and out of the office," highlights a commitment to client education and support beyond the physical visit.

Several key features distinguish River Valley Veterinary Service as a preferred "Pet Hospital" for local residents. The most prominent feature is the **exceptional team**, from the "incredibly friendly and professional" front desk to the "fantastic" technicians and the highly regarded Dr. Viren. This cohesive and compassionate team ensures a positive experience for both pets and owners. Dr. Viren's expertise in **surgical procedures** is a significant highlight, with proven successful outcomes for complex cases. His ability to explain procedures clearly and alleviate owner anxieties is highly valued. A unique and highly appreciated feature is his **accessibility for questions, "in and out of the office,"** demonstrating an extraordinary level of dedication and commitment to his patients' well-being and owner peace of mind. Another compelling feature is the **affordability of their services**, as evidenced by a "reasonable quote 75% less than other places were giving me" for a dewclaw injury. This makes quality veterinary care accessible without compromising on the standard of treatment. Furthermore, their demonstrated ability to manage **anxious pets with calmness and exceptional care** is a significant advantage, ensuring that even challenging visits are handled smoothly and positively for the animal.

For local pet owners, River Valley Veterinary Service's promotional appeal is strongly rooted in its **outstanding customer testimonials and reputation**. The phrase "We love this vet" serves as a powerful and direct endorsement, encouraging new clients to experience the same level of care. The significant cost savings on a procedure, highlighted by a customer, acts as a very compelling promotional point, indicating that excellent care does not necessarily come with an exorbitant price tag. This competitive pricing, combined with high-quality service, creates strong value. The emphasis on compassionate handling of anxious pets is a niche but vital promotional aspect for owners of nervous animals, as finding a vet who can keep a pet calm is invaluable. Dr. Viren's accessibility and clear communication style are also significant draws, promoting a sense of partnership in pet care. Fantastic place to take your pet, recently moved and dog busted his dewclaw. They got me in quickly and gave a reasonable quote 75% less than other places were giving me. My dog has lots of anxiety with the vet and I have never seen him so calm and well cared for.

We have used both the daycare and the boarding services and are very satisfied with both. Hard to imagine finding a friendly, more caring staff than we have met here. Total confidence in their care of our dog.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming to my pittie. He came in with an ear infection and was a bit grumpy. They were so understanding and loving towards him. They also followed up with phone calls. I highly recommend this vet.

Needed a new flea and tick pill for my dog, but they said we would need to do an exam on him to “prescribe” those. So I took my healthy 2 year old dog in and asked if they could also do the anal gland thing. She said yes took him back and also did an influenza and bordtella vaccine without asking if I wanted those. They also just assume you want blood work done. At the end it came out to be $735.. so I would just make sure you tell them right away what you don’t want as they don’t ask you if you want a vaccine or blood work before they do it. This place has turned into a scam.
