I have been a client of this vet for a couple years now. Everything has been fine until I had to euthanize my dog last week. I was given a single piece of sheet of paper to sign, relinquishing my dog’s remains to the company that would cremate her. I was told by the staff I would receive communication from Pet Haven to pick out a “package.” It has been 6 days and I heard nothing from either party. I called the clinic to see where my dog’s ashes was. I was first told my dog wasn’t ready yet and “was picked up on the 4th.” In that same sentence, I was told to call Pet Haven to discuss a package. I was confused because I had signed everything that was given me by the clinic for euthanasia. I was very confused by what the receptionist was saying so I called Pet Haven. I was told by Pet Haven the *CLINIC* should have given me a brochure, paper, something describing the crematory’s services. As Pet Haven does NOT have access to the clinics client information. The clinic did NOT do that. I was told by techs to sign a piece of paper, told to pay in advance before they euthanized my dog so I “could just leave” after it was done. After the euthanasia, I EXPLICITLY asked the clinic techs in the room if I needed to go to the front desk before I left. I was told NO. After speaking with Pet Haven, I called the clinic back and told them what happened. They did not act concerned, offer resolution or offer an apology. So, here we are SIX DAYS LATER. My dog is STILL SITTING IN THE CLINIC FREEZER. At NO point did ANYONE from the clinic to think to call me and ask what is going on, even when I signed I WANT MY DOGS ASHES BACK! That means they let my dog rot in a fridge for a week before doing a dang thing. I am fully convinced they would’ve let my dog’s remains rot before taking any sort of initiative to contact me! The vets, staff and techs need to get it together and form a protocol for deceased pets and make sure everyone has the information they need at the time of service. There was no need to any of this to happen. I am extremely angry, upset, sad and disappointing this is how this clinic chooses to treat their clients and their pets. After I get my pet’s ashes - I will NEVER EVER take the rest of my dogs here. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I love all the folks at Ringgold Animal Hospital !! I've been taking animals to them since I was in high school (nearly 25 years). They've always been so kind and professional, and have always taken the very best care of my animals (even the difficult ones like Chancey). But my favorite thing about Dr. Clarke is how straightforward and no nonsense he is. No sugarcoating. He has NO trouble telling me what I NEED to hear, even if it's not what I WANT to hear. After having to euthanize my 13 year old dog last week, they took the time to send me a card. Their care and sympathy knows no bounds. I will always go to them with my pets, unless they get tired of me and kick me out. 😉 So a HUGE thank you to Dr. and Mrs. Clarke, Kittie, and Ross!! Keep up the good work!!

When I tell you this place is THOROUGH. They take their time looking your pet over, they make recommendations but aren't pushy, and they go above and beyond in follow up. We had a rebate that we forgot about and they submitted on our behalf so we wouldn't miss the deadline. Being able to text is mad convenient too. Also one of my dogs eats poop and has the most atrocious breath but you'd never know the way they lean in close and hug him and treat him like a lil king🥹 an office full of actual angels ~Pic of the poop eater for tax~
