I can't say enough good things about Red Sage. They are amazing. The admin staff are really on top of things and are so helpful and knowledgeable. The techs are specialized and extremely dog savvy. The doctors (shout-out to Dr. Arielle Pechette in particular) are well-rounded and really specialized for rehab cases. They mostly communicate with clients via text, which was new for me, but I really like it. It's very quick to get in touch and ask a question or get a med refill. Summaries of all your appointments and treatment recommendations are all emailed after every appointment for your knowledge and files. It's a very thorough system, keeping the owner as I formed and educated as possible. My vet recommended Red Sage for rehab after my dog broke his leg (with accompanying soft tissue damage). It's not cheap but they have been really committed to his recovery and I'm so happy with how much he's improved. If I'd not done rehab he'd probably move with a noticeable limp the rest of his life and would have had a leg susceptible to injury. Now he has a brace to protect and support him and moves better than I had expected he would again. I'm very grateful to everyone at Red Sage for the experience.

As a dedicated provider within the "Pet Hospital" platform category, Red Sage offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services and goods aimed at enhancing the health, well-being, and recovery of your beloved animal companions. Operating with a commitment to integrative medicine, Red Sage combines conventional veterinary practices with complementary therapies to provide holistic and tailored care.
Red Sage Integrative Veterinary Partners distinguishes itself through its specialized focus on rehabilitation and the integration of various therapeutic modalities. This approach caters particularly to pets recovering from surgery, injuries, or those managing chronic conditions. The environment at Red Sage is designed to be welcoming and supportive, fostering a calm and healing atmosphere for both pets and their owners. While specific details about the physical layout and amenities are not provided in the given information, the positive customer reviews suggest a well-organized and efficient facility where the comfort and care of animals are prioritized.
The core services offered by Red Sage revolve around integrative veterinary care. A significant aspect of their practice is animal rehabilitation. This encompasses a range of therapies aimed at restoring mobility, reducing pain, and improving the overall function of pets recovering from orthopedic surgeries (such as those following a broken leg or Intervertebral Disc Disease - IVDD), neurological conditions, or other injuries. Rehabilitation programs are typically customized to the individual needs of each animal and may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and modalities such as laser therapy or hydrotherapy (though the availability of specific modalities isn't detailed in the provided text). The expertise of the veterinary team, particularly highlighted by the mention of Dr. Arielle Pechette's specialization in rehab cases and Dr. Fry's mastery in combining acupuncture and rehabilitation for IVDD recovery, underscores the high level of skill and dedication within the clinic.
Beyond rehabilitation, Red Sage Integrative Veterinary Partners offers complementary therapies such as acupuncture. Acupuncture, as noted in the review for Ella the dachshund, plays a crucial role in pain management and promoting healing, especially in neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. The integration of acupuncture with conventional rehabilitation exercises demonstrates Red Sage's commitment to a multi-faceted approach to veterinary care, aiming for optimal outcomes for their patients.
A key feature of Red Sage, as highlighted by customer experiences, is their exceptional team. The administrative staff is praised for their helpfulness and knowledge, ensuring smooth communication and efficient processes for pet owners. The veterinary technicians are described as specialized and "dog savvy," indicating a high level of expertise and comfort in handling canine patients. The doctors, including Dr. Pechette and Dr. Fry, are commended for their well-rounded knowledge and specialized skills, particularly in rehabilitation. This emphasis on a skilled and compassionate team contributes significantly to the positive experiences reported by clients.
Another notable feature of Red Sage is their modern and efficient communication system. The primary mode of communication with clients is via text messaging, which has been positively received for its speed and convenience in asking questions or requesting medication refills. Furthermore, Red Sage ensures that pet owners are well-informed by emailing summaries of appointments and treatment recommendations after each visit. This thorough system promotes transparency and empowers owners to be actively involved in their pet's care and recovery.
While the reviews acknowledge that the specialized care at Red Sage "is not cheap," they also emphasize the value and positive results achieved through their commitment to the pet's recovery. The investment in rehabilitation, as illustrated by the dog who recovered from a broken leg, is seen as crucial in preventing long-term mobility issues and potential for future injuries. The positive outcomes and the dedication of the team justify the cost for many pet owners seeking the best possible care for their animals.

Apr 02, 2025 · Julianne AlleyMy dachshund, Ella, saw Dr. Fry following IVDD surgery, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care she received. Dr. Fry is truly a master of her craft. Her expertise was evident in how she interacted with Ella during her visit, combining acupuncture and rehabilitation exercises that really helped with Ella’s recovery. Beyond her exceptional skills as a rehab vet, Dr. Fry’s administrative team was also fantastic—always professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Thank you, Dr. Fry, for helping my pup get back on her feet!
Oct 18, 2024 · April MLove Red Sage! Dr. Porterfield and the rest of the staff have been great helping our dog, Barry, recover from his total hip replacement. We're almost 2 months out and he's doing great with acupuncture, shockwave therapy and physical therapy. His rehab appointments are his favorite part of the week!
Oct 05, 2024 · Emily RomankoI have taken all my dogs to Red Sage for various reasons ranging from alternative Heartworm treatment and imaging, to acupuncture and palliative care, to EMTT and shockwave treatments for hip dysplasia pain. The staff are very knowledgeable and I love that they have such a variety of treatments to choose from. They come up with plans that are unique to each patient to improve their overall health and quality of life, and they are very empathetic. When my dogs have been sick, they regularly check in to see how they're doing, and they are very accommodating of animals with special needs. I can't think of a single time that I had a negative experience at Red Sage. They are truly a one of a kind practice.
