By far the worst experience I have ever had. The check in, they made me do it on their computer, even though I had done it ahead of time online. They expected me to be able to use their computer system and check myself in. It was ridiculous. Then I had to remove my cats from their cages, weigh them myself and put them in secondary cages, again by myself with no assistance. One of my cats was then bleeding 3 days later. I called for assistance, they called back 4 hours later and said it probably had nothing to do with the surgery. Really? My 4 month only kitten is just bleeding for no reason…? I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

Typically, a pet hospital like Protect Every Pet (PEP) would offer a clean and comfortable environment for pets and their owners. This includes examination rooms where veterinarians can assess the health of animals, potentially surgical suites for various procedures, and possibly areas for housing and observation of animals requiring overnight or extended care. Depending on the size and scope of the practice, they might also have in-house diagnostic capabilities such as X-ray machines, ultrasound equipment, and laboratory services for blood work and other tests. A welcoming reception area for check-in and appointment scheduling is also a standard feature.
The services offered by a pet hospital generally encompass a wide range of medical and surgical care for various types of pets, commonly including dogs and cats. These services typically include:
- Preventative Care: This is a cornerstone of veterinary health and includes routine check-ups, vaccinations to protect against common diseases, parasite prevention (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control), and nutritional counseling to ensure pets maintain a healthy weight and diet.
- Diagnostic Services: When a pet is unwell, accurate diagnosis is key. Pet hospitals offer various diagnostic tools, which might include physical examinations, blood tests, urine analysis, fecal examinations, digital radiography (X-rays), ultrasound imaging, and potentially more advanced imaging techniques depending on their facilities.
- Medical Treatment: For illnesses and injuries that don't require surgery, pet hospitals provide medical management. This can involve prescribing medications, administering fluids, providing supportive care, and monitoring the pet's condition.
- Surgical Services: Many pet hospitals offer a range of surgical procedures, from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries and potentially orthopedic procedures. The availability of advanced surgical capabilities often depends on the specialization and equipment of the hospital.
- Dental Care: Dental health is crucial for pets' overall well-being. Services can include routine dental cleanings under anesthesia, dental examinations, and treatment of dental diseases.
- Emergency Care: Some pet hospitals offer emergency services during their operating hours or have provisions for after-hours emergencies, although this isn't explicitly stated for Protect Every Pet (PEP). It's always wise to inquire about their emergency protocols.
- Microchipping: This is a common procedure to help reunite lost pets with their owners.
- Euthanasia and End-of-Life Care: When the time comes, pet hospitals provide compassionate end-of-life care and euthanasia services.

Jan 12, 2023 · SnoDen SamoyedsI can’t say enough good things about PEP ! From scheduling to the actual appointment, everything was so easy and efficient. The staff was friendly and explained aftercare instructions to me in detail and also printed them out for me to take home, which was greatly appreciated. The hospital was clean and easy to get to. I was able to have my dog neutered and a 1 yr rabies vaccine for less than 100$. With the costs of everything soaring, I was grateful to have him neutered and cared for by competent staff at a reasonable price.
