Took my dog to see Dr Mosier because she had been throwing up food after eating for the last few days. He wanted to charge me $580 for a “sick dog” panel. I chose to do an X-ray and office visit which was $280. I wanted to verify no foreign object obstruction. On viewing the x-ray, Dr Mosier stated there was no obstruction but her stomach was thick and he diagnosed stomach cancer. He then started trying to sell me anti-nausea meds, antacids, prescription dog food. I explained I had that at home but he continued. 1 hr and 15 min of this and I stopped him and said I don’t mean to be rude but I just want to take my dog home. It’s been more expensive than I expected. You have told me my dog has cancer based off an x-ray (which we all know is not possible) I just want to go home I feel like I’m being robbed. Dr Mosier abruptly stood up and stood over me pointing his finger in my face and said you are not going to talk to me that way. I of course stood up and said excuse me you are NOT talking to me that way and get your finger out of my face. He proceeded to tell me to “get my shit and get the hell out of here”! He went to his office and slammed the door. I contemplated filing a report because his behavior was completely out of line. Before I could pay he came out of his office yelling again at me telling me “go ahead call The cops but you’re not going to talk to me like that”. Like what? I told him I wanted to leave. I told him he couldn’t diagnose cancer on x-ray. I told him I felt like I was being robbed. We will not be back with our three dogs and I would encourage others to look elsewhere for veterinary services. Never in my life have I been so disrespected as a female. I highly doubt he would have done that if my husband were sitting beside me. He made me feel intimidated and potentially could do harm to me. He was very hot headed.

They aim for a warm and welcoming environment where pets and owners feel at ease. The clinic also utilizes technology like the PetDesk app to streamline communication and manage pet health information, contributing to an organized and efficient atmosphere. However, it is important to note that a recent review, while potentially an isolated incident, describes a highly charged interaction with Dr. Mosier regarding diagnosis and pricing, leading to a perception of a less welcoming and more confrontational atmosphere for that particular client. This suggests that while the clinic aims for a positive environment, individual experiences can vary, and direct communication issues may arise.

- Referral Program: They offer a $10 credit to clients when their referrals become new clients, encouraging word-ofmouth growth and community building.
- Experienced Staff: The clinic states it has "experienced Veterinarians and staff," implying a team with a solid background in veterinary care.
However, it is important to address a critical aspect raised in a client review, which describes significant concerns regarding communication, perceived overpricing, and an unprofessional interaction with Dr. Mosier. Specifically, the client felt pressured into expensive tests, questioned a cancer diagnosis based solely on an X-ray (which is generally not considered definitive without further testing like biopsy), felt "robbed" by the pricing, and reported being yelled at and told to "get the hell out." While such incidents might be isolated, they are serious and can impact a clinic's reputation. Objectively, a definitive cancer diagnosis typically requires biopsy and histopathology, not just an X-ray. The stated price discrepancy for procedures and visits compared to other local vets also suggests potential concerns about affordability from a client perspective. Prospective clients should consider these points when evaluating their options.
---
Premier Pet Clinic engages in several promotional activities to attract and retain clients. These include:
- New Client/Seasonal Offers: They currently offer a "$60 off the Nextmune Test and Treat package for first-time patients" through June 30th, targeting pets with seasonal allergies. This indicates a willingness to offer incentives for specialized services.
- Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program Promotion: Actively advertising their affordable spay/neuter options as part of their community outreach and commitment to responsible pet ownership.
- Referral Program: Promoting their "$10 credit" for successful client referrals, encouraging existing clients to spread positive word-of-mouth.
- Emphasis on Online Convenience: Highlighting the benefits of the PetDesk app for appointment requests, reminders, and accessing pet health information.
- Partnerships for Financial Accessibility: Promoting their acceptance of CareCredit and Scratchpay to assist clients with managing veterinary costs, especially for unexpected or larger expenses.
- Concierge Medicine Advertising: Promoting their at-home and telemedicine services as a convenient and low-stress option for eligible clients.
- Online Presence: Maintaining a website that details their services, philosophy, and contact information, serving as a primary point of information for potential clients.

Apr 23, 2025 · Bridget HainzingerThree times now I have taken dogs here and felt like the prices were too much. I have had estimates between $500-900 for a procedure that another vet estimated at $150. Same with medication and visits. $60 every visit here, even for follow up, when another vet in town follows up for free. I think the work they do is good but I literally cannot afford to keep going here.
Mar 19, 2025 · Cheyanne OlsonWe were new in town and when my dog got sick, I was able to get in for an appointment the same day! The staff was caring and the vet, Bobbi was so nice and great with our Penny Lane. We recently went back for a vaccination and had another great experience. Clean and friendly place! Would recommend to friends and family!
Jun 17, 2024 · Shannon ChiaveriniDr. Musgrove and the Premier Pet Clinic staff are always kind and polite. I feel my dogs have had very good care there. They also call to check and make sure my dogs are doing well! I highly recommend!
