Like most of us during the pandemic I rescued a puppy. I came in as a referral. I had to call several times to get answers regarding paw plans and care for my new puppy. I had several visits and only met the vet one time. They promise free office visits, but you never get to speak with the doctor unless you request it. I had to wait over a month and a half to have a spay and microchip appointment. As I was pulling out of the garage, on the day of the appointment, I received a call from them stating the doctor called in sick. Apparently no other doctor could accommodate me that day. They asked me to call back and reschedule. Their next available appointment was two weeks away. With the exception of Natalie-the hospital manager I would never recommend this place. My puppy is now receiving treatment from the Peninsula Center Pet Hospital in Rolling Hills. They made accommodations to have her spay and microchip surgery taken care of right away.

Welcome to Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital: Guerra John DVM
Welcome, local pet owners of Torrance and the surrounding areas, to an introduction of Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital: Guerra John DVM, a Pet Hospital located at 3430 Fujita St, Torrance, CA 90505, USA. You can contact them by phone at (310) 530-5511 or via their mobile contact number, +1 310-530-5511.
As a local Pet Hospital, Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital: Guerra John DVM would typically be expected to offer a range of veterinary services aimed at promoting the health and well-being of pets. This generally includes routine check-ups, vaccinations, spaying and neutering, microchipping, dental care, and treatment for illnesses and injuries. The environment of such a facility usually comprises examination rooms, waiting areas, and potentially surgical suites and diagnostic equipment to provide comprehensive care.
However, the available customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the services and operational efficiency of Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital: Guerra John DVM. One reviewer who rescued a puppy during the pandemic and was referred to this hospital reported multiple issues. They mentioned having to call several times to get answers about "paw plans" and general puppy care. Despite multiple visits, they only met the veterinarian, Dr. Guerra, one time. The hospital reportedly promises free office visits, but access to the doctor was limited unless specifically requested. This reviewer also experienced a significant delay of over a month and a half in scheduling a spay and microchip appointment. On the day of this long-awaited appointment, they received a cancellation call while en route, due to the doctor calling in sick, with no alternative accommodation offered for that day. The next available appointment was reportedly two weeks later. This customer ultimately decided to seek treatment for their puppy at another hospital, Peninsula Center Pet Hospital, where they were accommodated promptly. The reviewer concluded by stating they would not recommend Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital, with the exception of the hospital manager, Natalie.
Another reviewer shared a similar negative experience. They and their fiancée also rescued a puppy and were referred to this animal hospital. Throughout their interactions, they encountered "a number of issues," specifically mentioning unreliability in making appointments. The "final straw" for them was having an appointment canceled while they were on their way to the clinic. Consequently, this reviewer also stated they would definitely not recommend Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital to anyone.
Based on these reviews, several concerning features emerge regarding Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital: Guerra John DVM. There appear to be issues with communication, as one reviewer had to call multiple times for information. Access to the veterinarian seems limited, despite promises of free office visits. Appointment scheduling appears to be unreliable, with long wait times and last-minute cancellations. The lack of contingency planning when the primary veterinarian is unavailable also seems to be a problem, leading to significant delays in necessary procedures like spaying and microchipping.
The environment of the hospital is not directly described in these reviews, but the issues raised about communication and appointment handling might suggest a potentially disorganized or understaffed administrative side. The positive mention of the hospital manager, Natalie, implies that there might be some helpful and competent staff members, but this does not outweigh the negative experiences related to veterinary access and appointment reliability.
While the reviews mention "paw plans," spaying, and microchipping, they do not provide a comprehensive list of services offered by Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital: Guerra John DVM. Typically, a pet hospital would offer a broader range of services, including vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics, and treatment for various medical conditions. However, the negative feedback focuses on the accessibility and reliability of these services.
No promotional information is evident in the provided reviews, other than the mention of "free office visits" which one reviewer found to be misleading due to the difficulty in actually seeing the doctor. Therefore, we cannot provide any objective information about current promotions based solely on these customer experiences.
In conclusion, the customer reviews for Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital: Guerra John DVM in Torrance, CA, raise significant concerns regarding appointment reliability, communication, and accessibility to the veterinarian. While the hospital may offer standard veterinary services like puppy plans, spaying, and microchipping, the negative experiences shared by multiple reviewers about scheduling and doctor interaction should be carefully considered by local pet owners. The positive mention of the hospital manager does not mitigate the overall negative feedback regarding the core veterinary services.
For pet owners in the Torrance area seeking veterinary care, the feedback for Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital: Guerra John DVM suggests potential challenges with appointment management and direct communication with the veterinarian. While they are listed as a Pet Hospital and likely offer a range of services, the reported unreliability and difficulty in accessing the doctor are important factors to take into account. It would be prudent to seek additional information or consider these experiences when making a decision about your pet's care.
