I have been taking my cats here for 37yrs. This morning I poured my heart out on the phone to staff explaining the situation I was in and the girl was so nice and understanding on the phone. I am struggling doing steps and was told it would be no trouble for staff to step out to grab him for me, to call when I arrived and they were able to get me in right away today. I cannot stress this enough, communication is a big must because the staff this afternoon had no idea about the conversation I had this morning. I showed up 15min early and made 25 phone calls which all rang busy trying to call inside to let them know that I was there to come out to get him. 10min after my scheduled appointment, i get a call asking where i am and I say I've been outside 25min now. That's when I find out that the staff had no idea about coming out to get him and the phone lines aren't right. Then I'm waiting another almost 15min for the vet to arrive. I'm already frustrated from my experience with another vet over the weekend and this isn't helping at all. I asked for help with the recovery collar and got told to tie it with a string and I had spent an entire night already trying to keep the thing tied on him and i ask for a collar from inside and get told those dont work on cats. Suddenly I'm being told to calm down or I won't be helped and I can leave. Finally I say to just rebandage him then and I will go which they decide not to do. They tried to give me pills that I had already explained in the other conversation I didn't need. The only good thing today was they did put a much smaller recovery collar on him that is blessedly staying on.

They can be contacted by phone at (608) 349-6726 or via mobile at +1 608-349-6726.

As a full-service Pet Hospital, Platteville Veterinary Clinic LLP provides an extensive range of medical services and related goods for sale, catering to the diverse health needs of companion animals. Their commitment to offering "excellent care" is a recurring theme in client feedback, highlighting a focus on thorough diagnostics, effective treatments, and compassionate patient handling. The clinic aims to be a complete resource for pet owners, supporting animal health from preventative measures through advanced medical interventions.

The environment at Platteville Veterinary Clinic LLP, while not described in terms of specific aesthetics, is characterized by its dedication to thorough communication and a generally supportive atmosphere. Long-term clients praise the staff for explaining everything well, ensuring owners are comfortable with the knowledge when they leave. This emphasis on clear communication helps to create an informed and less anxious environment for pet owners. However, it is important to acknowledge that, as with any busy practice, internal communication challenges can occasionally occur, potentially leading to client frustration, as detailed in one review where a client experienced issues with information transfer and phone line availability. Despite such isolated incidents, the clinic's long history suggests a foundational commitment to overall client satisfaction and a generally positive experience for most visitors over many years.

The services provided by Platteville Veterinary Clinic LLP are comprehensive, covering a broad spectrum of veterinary needs for pets. Based on the nature of a long-standing Pet Hospital, these services would typically include:

  • General Wellness and Preventative Care: This includes routine physical examinations, age-appropriate vaccinations, and guidance on parasite prevention and control. Their extensive experience over decades implies a robust preventative care program.
  • Diagnostic Services: Such services would generally encompass in-house laboratory testing (e.g., blood tests, urinalysis, fecal analysis), and diagnostic imaging like X-rays, crucial for accurate and timely diagnoses.
  • Surgical Procedures: The clinic would offer a range of surgical options, from routine procedures like spays and neuters to other necessary soft tissue surgeries.
  • Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services, including cleanings, extractions, and oral health assessments, are standard for maintaining overall pet health.
  • Urgent and Emergency Care: While not specifically detailed in the provided information, a clinic with such long-standing community presence would likely offer capabilities for addressing urgent medical situations, or provide clear guidance for after-hours emergencies.
  • Client Education: A core strength, as highlighted by reviews, is their commitment to explaining conditions and treatments thoroughly, ensuring pet owners are well-informed to make decisions.
  • Pharmacy and Retail Goods: As a Pet Hospital, they would offer a range of prescription medications, specialized diets, and other pet care products for sale.

A significant feature of Platteville Veterinary Clinic LLP is its longevity and established trust within the community. With clients attending for "37 yrs" and "over 30 years," it signifies a deep-rooted commitment to quality care and strong, enduring relationships with pet owners. This long-term patronage speaks volumes about the consistent positive experiences many clients have had over decades. Another key feature is their dedication to clear and thorough communication with pet owners. Reviewers consistently praise the staff for explaining "everything well so you are comfortable with the knowledge when you leave." This emphasis on education empowers pet owners and builds confidence in the care their pets receive. The clinic's ability to "get me in right away today" for an urgent situation (despite internal communication hiccups) highlights their responsiveness to acute needs, a critical aspect for pet owners during stressful times. The positive outcome in at least one challenging case, where a "much smaller recovery collar" was effectively provided despite initial miscommunication, suggests a team that ultimately prioritizes the pet's well-being and seeks practical solutions. The presence of veterinarians with extensive experience contributes to their capability to handle a wide range of cases effectively.

In terms of promotional information, Platteville Veterinary Clinic LLP's strongest asset is its long-standing reputation and positive word-of-mouth referrals. The high recommendation from clients who have entrusted their pets to the clinic for decades is an invaluable form of promotion, demonstrating enduring satisfaction and trust. The phrase "Highly recommend!!" directly from a long-term client serves as a powerful testimonial. While specific marketing campaigns or discounts are not detailed, the inherent value of their consistent "excellent care" and thorough client education naturally attracts and retains clients. The clinic's historical presence in Platteville suggests a strong community integration, which itself acts as a form of promotion. Their commitment to providing comprehensive services, as expected of a full-service Pet Hospital, also promotes them as a reliable and complete solution for pet healthcare. Although one detailed review highlighted an unfortunate instance of communication breakdown and frustration, the overarching sentiment from long-term clients consistently points to a clinic that, for the most part, delivers on its promise of dedicated and knowledgeable care. This solid foundation of trust and demonstrated competence is the cornerstone of their promotional appeal, ensuring continued patronage and a strong position in the Platteville veterinary landscape.

I've taken both of my cats here and never had a bad experience. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The vets have always been natural at calming my cats nerves and getting done what needs to be done.

I brought my cat in twice for the same issue (suspected UTI). First vet was helpful and very informative but she could not get a urine sample and I was sent home to try to get a sample myself. When I came back 2 weeks later with no results after trying everything from the 1st vet and no improvement a different vet basically said it was the litterbox and sent me home even though when I made the appointment they said they could keep her and give her fluids until they got a sample. I wasn't charged for the 2nd visit at least but it was a complete waste of my time. Do yourself a favor and take your animals anywhere else.

We enjoy using this clinc. It's always clean. The receptionists are always kind and profesional. We use them for regular visits and for big time concerns. Through some of the worst days, they staff was still wonderful.
