Hello, Normally I don't do this review stuff, but I feel the need to tell people my experience. This is my opinion and how I felt leaving the Pittsburgh East Animal Hospital. I'm not gonna throw out names or bad mouth the place because I'm not ignorant. Today 4/14/25 I took my 2 cats in for a initial check up/concerns for thier health. The receptionist was very polite and had me fill out forms for my animals. Shortly after the vet tech came over and took me into the room and I let my animals out the carriers. The vet tech was awesome she smiled and was very nice to me and my animals. She asked about things concerning the health of both animals and if they had troubles eating while having a normal human reaction to how I felt and what I thought was wrong with my cats. After giving her the knowledge of what I THOUGHT was wrong with my animals she left the room. Very awesome girl and great at her job. About 10 or 15 min go by and the vet doctor, vet tech and I'm guessing trainee came into the room. Vet doctor did a terrible job introducing herself. Was not personable at all. Went straight into what's wrong with the animals. Once again I labeled my concerns and what I thought was wrong. This doctor the whole time was looking at me like I was mental challenged and didn't know nothing about my animals or thier health. I was wrong in saying kidney disease when it was liver disease. My mistake but my cat was being treated by another vet for the issue the past like 2 years and a diagnosis was never really established. My animals are 16 and 14 I want them to live pain free and comfortable. The vet doctor after making me feel small and ashamed I didn't know the full diagnosis of my animals she started saying the normal. Which is we won't know until we do this or this or this or even that type deal. Look I love my animals but I can't afford a 5000 dollar bill. I want my cats comfortable and not in pain. All the symptoms I thought my cats had she put her foot down and said noo0o0o that may not be the case. Until we do something else. Munhall vet doctor is amazing I would advise anyone to go there. Vet techs are amazing and overall care is great. In conclusion, I'm educated with college degrees and a Marine that served this country in Iraq and afghanistan and now I'm currently a federal police officer. This vet made me feel small. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THAT HELL HOLE. That vet doctor needs an attitude adjustment and learn how to talk to people. Her social skills are terrible. Definitely not a people person. Hope this review helps people think twice about getting thier pets care there. The parking lot is always empty, think the word is already out. Thank you for reading and GOD BLESS YOU All.

The staff at Pittsburgh East are very welcoming, compassionate and knowledgeable. I recently took my one year old puppy to see Dr.Dinger for some digestive issues. Her treatment was perfect. I was both touched and impressed to receive a phone call directly from Dr. Dinger checking up on him. Thank you so much!

Dr Dinger and staff are so amazing. We have taken our pets there for several years. They are compassionate when we had to put our cat down. They have taken such good care with our new fur baby. They always take time to care for our animals and be compassionate to our needs.

The Vets and Staff at Pgh East are tops.... compassionate, caring and love the pets in their care. Sebastian had dental cleaning and several extractions with zero hiccups. My worries were relieved when the surgical assistant carried him to me. THANK YOU !!!

After at least 4 pets being treated here, I no longer recommend this animal hospital due to the most recent unprofessional treatment my puppy and I received from Dr. Dinger and the office staff. I was not being "demanding", nor was I trying to give the office staff CKC, and TLR, a "hard time". (They put this in their notes, which I read when I asked for all 3 of my dogs' records to give to a new vet.) I was being assertive and advocating for myself to find out what was wrong with my pup and what I needed to do to help her. Did she need medicine? Is she contagious to my students, family, and other dogs? Can I come and pick up the medicine so I can help her get better? I didn't know what was wrong with my 4-month-old puppy but I was treated by the office staff like I was a bother or annoyance for wanting to care for my pup in a timely matter. All Dr. Dinger had to do was call me back and give me 30 seconds of her time, but she wouldn't. I called 3 different times and waited on hold for 30 minutes before the call was disconnected. When I went into the office, Dr. Dinger said that she was busy and was going to call me "when she got around to it". She was both rude and hostile toward me in her demeanor and comments. Because of this incident and the fact that it is so very hard to schedule an appointment in general, I believe that Pittsburgh East Animal Hospital no longer has the capacity, staff, and professionalism needed to give all clients proper and professional care. I also think that they need to update their business model so that Dr. Dinger / doctor on duty, is not the only one who can attend to the needs of their clients. No client should have to be treated the way I was. I felt disrespected, ignored, dismissed, frustrated, and hurt. I also feel mocked after reading the staff notes regarding their (the front desk staff), version of what occurred. I will now unfortunately begin a search and find a more caring, compassionate, and professional vet hospital somewhere else. Addendum: Wow! I just read A LOT of reviews on this site and there are MANY complaints against Dr. Dinger and the office staff! I am not the only one. What a disgrace!
