If I could give 10 stars, I would without hesitation. It’s hard to find the right words to fully express how deeply grateful we are for the kindness, care, and compassion shown by this office and its staff during an incredibly difficult time. We had to make the heart-wrenching decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog, and from the very first moment we walked in, we were met with nothing but warmth and understanding. The veterinarian who spoke with us was beyond exceptional. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely kind and empathetic, taking the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions. She made a heartbreaking situation feel more manageable by offering both comfort and clear guidance, without ever making us feel rushed or judged. Her compassion truly made a world of difference during such an emotional moment. The front desk staff was equally wonderful. They greeted us with kindness and patience, ensuring we had everything we needed and that we felt supported in every way. They were always ready to assist, offering comfort in small but meaningful ways that really helped ease the burden of the day. When we came to pick up our dog’s ashes, the care and empathy didn’t stop. The staff was so thoughtful and considerate, asking if there was anything else they could do for us or if we needed any further support. Their gentle, respectful approach during this time meant more than we can say. And as if that wasn’t enough, a few days later, we received a sympathy card in the mail—such a thoughtful gesture that touched our hearts deeply. It was a small act, but it spoke volumes about the genuine care this office has for its clients and their pets. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a source of light and comfort during one of the most challenging moments of our lives. Your kindness has made an immense difference, and we will be forever grateful.

Dec 23, 2024 · Ryleigh W.My golden retriever Dale was recently seen at this practice and disappointment/disgusted barely scratches the surface of how we feel about our experience. Our dog received invasive surgery to remove an "object" that they suspected was in his stomach, that was never found. Biopsies of his stomach were also completed with again no issues found. Turns out our dog simply has kennel cough and this was a completely unnecessary procedure. Dale was showing signs of coughing and spitting up a white clear mucous (turns out from coughing/phlem). I am shocked that rather than ruling out the simplest of diagnosis they jumped to a very invasive surgery. Dale stayed with them overnight and if they would have paid attention they would have 1 heard his cough and 2 been able to see what he was spitting up and noticed it was the basic common dog cold. How heart breaking it is to take your dog home and leave with the same exact symptoms you brought him in for. I trusted them to care for my family member and ended up feeling like my dog was truly butchered. Not only do I feel terrible for Dale with is 10 inch scar but the financial strain this $8,000 vet bill has now placed on my family for what has become clear as completely unnecessary and could have been resolved with a $90 vet bill and antibiotic (which we had to go to our usual vet to receive). I pray these providers take the time moving forward to look at the entire picture rather than getting tunnel vision on one possibility and that no other dogs or families are victim to what we just experienced. A simple google search shows kennel cough is at an all time high at this time of year and hopefully the providers at this establishment can take the time to familiarize themselves with the symptoms of this very common dog cold.
Aug 29, 2024 · Nicole CecchinI brought my 13-year-old cat in on Thursday morning, and she was immediately hospitalized. From the moment we arrived, the compassion shown by everyone—from the doctors and ICU nurses to the front desk staff—was truly remarkable. My girl is in late-stage kidney failure, and they did everything possible to stabilize her so she could come home with me to spend her remaining days comfortably. Every morning at 8:30, I received a detailed update, and when her condition changed late Saturday night, the doctor personally called me to provide an update. They also made arrangements for me to visit her every day. It was clear that my cat was receiving the best possible care, with the team giving her the attention she needed while keeping me informed every step of the way. During such a heartbreaking time for our family, it was an enormous comfort to know she was in such capable and compassionate hands
Dec 16, 2024 · sarah beckerThe staff here & the vet were some of the kindest, most empathetic medical staff I've ever experienced in a very stressful, heartbreaking situation I've been in. One of my dogs injured another of mine in the heat of the moment over a food dish & never once did they make me feel judged or like a bad dog mom for what happened. They gave us affordable options to take care of my baby & never once made me feel pressured for expensive treatments & genuinely cared about his well-being. I will forever refer them to anyone in need & bring any of my furbabies here too.
Jul 28, 2024 · Nicole SalzingerI want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Phoenix Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center for the incredible care and support you've provided for my baby girl Tuesday. From the moment I walked through your doors, the compassion and expertise you've shown have meant the world to me. Your attention to detail, patience, and genuine love for animals are evident in everything you do, and it has made such a difference in Tuesdays' health, happiness and quality of life. I truly appreciate the time you've taken to answer my questions and ensure Tuesday receives the best possible care 24/7 while at your facility. Thank you for the amazing work you do every single day. You've not only made a positive impact on Tuesday's life but also given me peace of mind knowing she was and is in the best of hands. I recommend anyone and everyone to this particular Animal Hospital as they are in my humble opinion the best most genuine people I've encountered. With sincere appreciation, Megan H.
