Pet Emergency and Referral Center

My dog Zola was on the brink of death. When we arrived the doctors swiftly took him from me and went straight to work on him. The level of care and professionalism at this place is truly remarkable. The staff here are “super hero’s”, but in scrubs. Anyone who has dealt with an emergency situation with their pet knows the amount of emotional and mental stress it plays on you as the parent. The financial cost was a big concern, however, there are options. You have to be willing to do all you can. Be honest and upfront about your situation, but just try. Zola stayed 3 days and 2 nights at this place and my partner and I are extremely grateful for the care and attention they gave to our boy. I highly recommend this place for anyone who has a pet emergency. Any kind of medical care is not cheap but it’s worth it! I love all of you who helped Zola ! My heart swells every time I look at him and remember you all gave him a second chance at life. We are forever grateful!

My cat was throwing up, so I called this facility for advice, and was told I should probably bring her in. I brought her in around 9:30 PM, was met by a very friendly, caring person at check in. I was taken back immediately to a room and waited maybe 5 minutes before someone came in to get medical history and an idea of the current problem. My cat was taken back and examined and within 15 minutes Dr. Pelanne explained that it was recommended that she have additional tests which included x-ray and blood work. I was told it could take up to 2 hours but they would have all the tests completed in house, and have results and hopefully an answer for me. After the x-ray, the doctor explained that many things were ruled out with the x-ray and the bloodwork would give us an idea of what was going on. Within an hour, the bloodwork was completed and it was determined that she has pancreatitis, but a mild case. My cat was given an anti-nausea medication, probiotics and some pain medicine. She was also given some cans of food that was low in fat, so I could feed her before having to go to the store for more food. I was told all the information would be sent to my regular Vet and I should follow up with her. EVERYONE was very friendly, caring, and it made it more comfortable in a trying time. I will say that the cost was more than I expected, but I believe you get what you pay for. And for 9:30- 11:30 at night, it was well worth it. Shaneen and Nicole were the other staff members that made this experience the best I could hope for. I hope I never have to do this again, but I will definitely return to this Emergency care facility to receive care for my furry children.

Dr. Hanson and the surgical team at Pet Emergency and Referral Center are nothing short of amazing! When our dog Suede needed emergency gallbladder surgery, we were terrified, but they immediately put us at ease with their professionalism and compassion. The care they provided was exceptional, and their expertise saved Suede’s life. We are forever grateful for their quick action, kindness, and dedication to getting Suede healthy. We cannot recommend Dr. Hanson and this incredible team enough! Five stars aren’t enough to express our gratitude!

We brought our dog in yesterday evening 1/6/2025 due to complications from a previous procedure done at a different vet office. The vet techs Nicole & Lynda were fantastic; they helped us get our dog out of the car and immediately prepped him for surgery. They took such great care of him all evening and were still just as kind and helpful when we picked him up the next morning. Dr. Pelanne was also fantastic. She was calm and explained everything to us in a way we could understand and not panic. She called me after his procedure and again in the morning for updates. We are so lucky that this staff was not only knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind. I highly recommend Pet Emergency & Referral Center!

Pet Emergency and Referral Center is truly the ONLY place I would trust emergency care with my precious pets. I have had to use them 3 times with 3 different pets in the past couple of years, and they have been miracle workers! Their knowledge is extensive, but it's the care and concern that they show during the whole process and stay that is unsurpassed. They truly love their patients. Their communication is excellent and they will always take the time needed to put an owner at ease and to be sure we know all options and outcomes. They are also realistic in whether a treatment should be required - especially in older pets. I can't say enough amazing things about them - from front desk check in to the doctors and techs on call 24/7, each person is incredible.
